UPDATE: Important roadworks information

A11 southbound Elveden Bypass to Fiveways Roundabout – road marking renewal

I’m writing to update you about our work on the A11 southbound between the Elveden Bypass and Fiveways Roundabout.

We plan to complete further works over two nights starting Saturday 17 October 2026. We will work overnight between 8pm and 6am, weather permitting. We will be operating under a single lane closure.

UPDATE: Important roadworks information

A11 southbound Elveden Bypass to Fiveways Roundabout – road marking renewal

I’m writing to update you about our work on the A11 southbound between the Elveden Bypass and Fiveways Roundabout.

We’re replacing faded or damaged road markings, road studs and sections of the anti-skid road surface. Once complete, these improvements will make the road clearer and safer for drivers.

We completed the first phase alongside the A11 Fiveways Roundabout, Barton Mills skid resistance resurfacing scheme. By carrying out both schemes during the same road closure, we progressed more quickly than planned.

This means we can complete the scheme sooner and reduce the traffic restrictions needed for the remaining work.

We plan to complete this work over two weeks starting Wednesday 23 September 2026. We will work overnight between 8pm and 6am, on weeknights only, weather permitting.

A11 southbound Elveden bypass between London Road, Thetford and Fiveways Roundabout – road marking renewal

I am writing to update you on our work to carry out road marking renewal work on the A11 southbound from Elveden bypass between London Road, Thetford and Fiveways Roundabout. This is to replace age-expired or damaged markings, studs and high friction surfacing.

We plan to complete this work over four weeks which will now start on Thursday 17 September 2026. We will work overnight between 8pm and 6am, weeknights only, weather permitting.

We’ll carry out this work alongside our skid-resistant resurfacing scheme at the A11 Fiveways Roundabout, Barton Mills.
