⏰ Our Town Our Future Survey closes tonight!

Thanks to everyone who’s filled it in so far. Over the coming weeks, we’ll be pulling together all the brilliant answers, ideas and information from the survey, alongside the hundreds of face-to-face conversations, into a final report ready in late May.

⏰ Survey Closing Soon ⏰

The response has been outstanding – Midd has really stepped up, it makes us proud to be Middletonians.

We’re now at nearly 1,900 responses 👀

If you haven’t already, please fill out the survey before 11:59pm Monday – every voice counts and this is your chance to shape what happens next in our town.

Also, Art House Does Our Town, Our Future – Middleton’s Colouring Book (our interactive art installation feeding into the survey) is in its final days. It’s open today and tomorrow until 3pm, so come down, get involved, and add your voice in a different way.

🎭 Midd Fringe is coming 🎭

After this, the Art House team will be focusing on bringing you the first Midd Fringe Festival. This space will become our HQ – Midd Fringe is a brand new performing arts festival taking place across multiple venues in Middleton from 18th June, right through the weekend.

Middletonians - this is for you. Especially those who get the feeling our town isn’t listened to, that not enough happens here.

The Middleton Co-operative MDC (Mayoral Development Corporation) is basically a vehicle for big, long-term regeneration: land, planning, investment, the whole lot.

Done right, it can transform a town. It can transform Midd.

That’s why Our Town, Our Future exists: it’s our community-led engagement project to gather real views on what Middleton needs - from the town centre and transport to safety, shops, public spaces, culture, and pride in place.

Middleton Co-operating isn’t the council 😅
Rochdale Council have supported this work, but this engagement was co-designed by everyday Middletonians like you - because it’s co-operative for a reason: community engagement is the heart of it. That’s what makes this different to regeneration projects you might’ve seen before.

🟠 Today we begin 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence

Every year, between 25 November – 10 December, people and organisations around the world unite to raise awareness on violence against women. This year we focus on ending digital violence against all women and girls - because violence doesn’t only happen in homes or on the streets, it also happens online.

At Soul Sisters Empowering People, we know domestic abuse can follow survivors into every part of life — including digital spaces. That’s why this campaign isn’t just about raising awareness, but calling for respect in all spaces, online and offline, and demanding safety everywhere.
