Ten years on, Jo Cox’s belief that we have more in common than that which divides us continues to inspire the women of the WI.

This month, the Jo Cox Foundation is marking Jo’s life, work and legacy with a fortnight of reflection, connection and action. Up and down the country WI members work every day to bring people together, to learn about and understand each other and to work together to improve our communities.

The WI is proud to support this important moment - and to continue to play our part in working together to build a more respectful, less lonely and better connected society.

I’m going away at the weekend and usually I take all our food with us or do a shop when we arrive. This time I’ve placed an online order with Sainsbury’s to be delivered once we arrive. Doing this through Easyfundraising.com
has raised £6 for the Federation. I know it’s not the right supermarket but every little helps!

This will be a great evening. Nicola has a superb voice and will entertain with a variety of songs from musicals.
This may be the last chance to be entertained in the wonderful surroundings of Flockton's church before it closes.
Pay on the door and bring a little extra for the wonderful raffle.

𝑰𝑻 𝑪𝑶𝑼𝑳𝑫 𝑯𝑨𝑷𝑷𝑬𝑵 𝑻𝑶 𝒀𝑶𝑼! You can book for the full day or just one session.
Glyn Jones from St. John’s Ambulance will lead the morning session which will support the WI campaign “Bystanders Can Be Lifesavers” Join us to learn the critical, step by step actions to take if someone suddenly collapsed in front of you.
The afternoon session starting at 12:30pm will be led by Traffic Officers from National Highways who will give some guidance/safety advice on what to do in various situations.
Refreshments available on arrival and during lunch break. Please bring a packed lunch. Car park at the hall. The no.64 bus is half hourly from Leeds.

Oh what a great time we had at our latest Dabble Day. We were hosted by Flockton WI who provided the most delicious cakes! We enjoyed messy play (shaving foam marbling) developing our fine motor skills (making flower decorations with wire and tiny beads) and hand/eye coordination practice folding paper in different ways to make medallions the tea bag folding way. It was a fun day but a tad warm! Thanks to our tutors Michelle Dyson, Horbury WI, Sandra Dennis, Roundhay WI, Helen Ankin and Kat Robinson, Billing Belles WI and Liz Whitehead, Flockton WI. And a huge thank you to the team from Flockton who looked after us so well
