We’re looking for a **kit player** to join Middleton Band for our performance this Sunday 30 August at 2pm at Dobcross Band & Social Club as part of Showcase Brass.

We’re looking for new players to join Middleton Youth Band — and we’d love to hear from you!

Whether you’ve only been playing for a little while, already play confidently at school or through a music service, or you’re looking for another band to challenge you and make music with, there’s a place for you at Middleton Youth Band.

⭐ Beginners –learn to play brass or drums with our tutors
⭐ Training Band – for players who can play a few notes and read some simple music
⭐ Youth Band – for more confident players ready for a wider range of music and performances

🎼 Plenty of places available in Training Band and Youth Band
🎺 FREE instrument loan

🎶 Hare Hill Park Concert 🎶

Thank you to everyone who came along to watch us perform at Hare Hill Park on Sunday! We had a fantastic afternoon performing in the lovely weather – with a little sunshine and plenty of wind! 🌤️💨

A huge thank you to Friends of Hare Hill Park for organising the event, Jamie Prophet for conducting us, and all of our fantastic deps for their support.

🎥 Another clip from Morley March & Hymn Contest last week is our hymn tune, Dear Lord and Father of Mankind 🎶

We were delighted to receive such encouraging feedback from both the adjudicators and audience, and we’re especially pleased to have been awarded 3rd place overall for Deportment.

We’ll also be performing both our contest march, Viva Birkinshaw, and this beautiful hymn tune at our concert this Sunday!

A great day out at the Morley March & Hymn Tune Contest! 🎺🎶

We thoroughly enjoyed taking part and were delighted to receive some positive feedback from both the adjudicators and audience.

We're a little short on numbers tonight due to holidays and commitments and would love a few extra players to join us!

In particular, we're looking for:

WHAT A NIGHT 🌟 Middleton Band had a fantastic day yesterday with completing 11 villages in Tameside!!

A huge thank you to all of our players, guests, and our fabulous guest Musical Director, Alan Hobbins , for delivering fantastic performances throughout the evening. Special thanks also go to our coach driver for getting us safely from village to village!
