STATEMENT CONCERNING BORROWDALE ROAD LINK PATH.
My name is currently being dragged through the mud online by a certain individual who is falsely claiming that I have been involved in the Councils decision to remove an unauthorised Bonfire off Borrowdale Road.
I want to set the record straight and say that this is categorically untrue. I know this individual doesn’t like me, but there is no need to spread false rumours about me and attempting to bully me.
A very close family member of mine and my husband Terry’ is currently in Hospital and we do not need this added stress of out right lies.
It is not my decision to make. No group can advertise a large event on council land, especially with posters and graphics on social media, without first requesting permission to hold a large event and putting in place the necessary paperwork such as insurance, risk assessments and first aid etc.
There are lots of organised Bonfires going on all over Middleton, on private and Council land but the organisers have had to fill out all the paperwork necessary.
But again this is not my decision and I want to make that clear. If people have an issue they need to take it up with the Councils Health and Safety Team, Greater Manchester Police and the Fire Brigade. But I am sure people who have an agenda against me will continue to try and bully me as a 70 year old lady.
