DAMP WORKS REQUIRED

The Horton Almshouses would like to invite suitably qualified contractors to undertake damp remedy works within the interior of the building.

The building is of Victorian age and suffers with damp to the interior and rear walls. Additional ventilation through the insertion of vent spaces may be required in the old chimney stacks.

Quotations should include replastering but do not need to include redecoration.

We will consider both modern and traditional methods of damp treatment

This work needs to be scheduled for completion this spring or summer so we are only inviting quotations from those who have availability.

GENERAL BUILDER REQUIRED

The Horton Almshouses would like to invite suitably qualified contractors to undertake general building works within the building which will include:

Repair of firebreaks in the loft spaces
Small roof repairs
Building reconfigurations
Other associated works to be discussed

This work needs to be scheduled for completion this spring or summer so we are only inviting quotations from those who have availability.

WINDOW REPLACEMENT

The Horton Almshouses would like to invite suitably qualified contractors to remove and dispose of, and supply and fit new double glazed units front and rear in the almshouse building

The windows required have been selected and will be specified prior to quotation.

The windows to the front will be discussed on your site visit

The windows to the rear are 6 double bay windows, and 6 standard windows which will be replaced in a premium foil style. There are also 4 small windows to the side of the property

ASBESTOS REMOVAL REQUIRED

The Horton Almshouses would like to invite suitably qualified and licensed contractors to remove and legally dispose of a number of sections of ceiling material containing asbestos.

We are also looking for quotations to replace these sections with a suitable alternative material, the material in the boiler room needing to be fireproof

These works need to be completed before the summer this year
