Period of Change CIC

Period of Change CIC We fight to reduce menstrual stigma, campaign for change and provide women in need with conventional and reusable period products.

Here in the UK, the number of families using food banks continues to increase every year. Poverty is the main reason many women and girls cannot access period products. Women are having to endure stigma, shame, and health problems because they can’t afford to pay for essential sanitary products. Girls are skipping school every month because they have no access to products. No woman or girl should

suffer the indignity of not having a pad, tampon or menstrual cup when they need it. We stand with those experiencing financial difficulties and are here to help. Providing free period products and non-judgemental advice. Period of change will campaign to stop the stigma and shame of period poverty and pressure the government into providing access to free sanitary products for girls so they don’t have to skip school. We support the use of healthier and more sustainable alternatives to conventional sanitary products, including reusable menstrual cups and pads. We are also running a series of empowerment workshops to women who cannot afford to buy period supplies, including support to change to a reusable alternative. Ways you can make a difference:

• Donate products: Bring products to one of our drop box locations
• Host a drop-off location
• Donate via PayPal: We buy in bulk so your donations go further
• Volunteer at one of our reusable pad making workshops
