📸ANNUAL CAMP 2026- CATCH UP!📸

All of our Cadets and Adult Volunteers have been super busy on camp- we’ve barely stopped! The weather might have been hot, but the training has been on fireeee!🔥👏🏻

Cadets have worked so hard with all of their activities. So far we’ve seen:

➡️Navigation and expeditions🧭
➡️Shooting🎯
➡️Leadership training📝
➡️First aid⛑️
➡️Drill🫡
➡️And even some adventurous training!🚣🏻‍♀️

The Cadets have been putting in so much effort and we’ve achieved an unbelievable amount of passes already! We can’t wait to see what else is in store👀

A Red Extreme Heat Warning has been issued by the Met Office for Wednesday and Thursday, with temperatures expected to climb to at least 39°C. Everyone is reminded of the importance of managing heat illness risk in all cadet activity & those delivering training must continuously assess conditions, with activity reduced or cancelled if required.

Look out for the signs of heat illness:
❗️Headache, dizziness and confusion
❗️Loss of appetite or feeling sick
❗️Excessive sweating & pale, clammy skin
❗️Cramps in the arms, legs & stomach

If you suspect heat illness, stop the activity immediately, get the casualty into the shade, and cool them down quickly by removing excess clothing and using wet towels, sheets, or a spray to cool them. If they are conscious, give them water to sip. If they are unconscious, place them in the recovery position and call 999/112.

🥁 MARCHING PROUD: ARMED FORCES DAY IN STOCKTON! 🇬🇧✨

​What an incredible day yesterday at the Stockton Armed Forces Day celebrations! The brand-new Stockton Waterfront and High Street were absolutely buzzing, and Cleveland ACF was right at the heart of the action.

​Our cadets and adult volunteers turned out in full force to honour our serving personnel, veterans, and military families.

​The absolute highlight of the day? Our spectacular Cleveland ACF Corps of Drums took to the streets, filling the town with incredible music and crisp, flawless drill that had the huge crowds cheering along the entire route! 🥁🎺

​🤝 Connecting with Teesside

​When they weren't marching, our cadets were busy doing what they do best—engaging with our local community! From chatting with veterans to running positive, interactive exercises for families and young people, our teams showcased the true spirit of the Army Cadets.

​Days like yesterday remind us just how special it is to be part of the Cleveland ACF family. Our young people didn’t just represent the county with pride; they proved themselves to be incredible ambassadors for the next generation of Teesside.

​A massive thank you to everyone who came down to Stockton to support us, wave a flag, and say hello! And as always, a huge shoutout to our dedicated Cadet Force Adult Volunteers (CFAVs) who coordinated our presence and kept everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

🌅 FIRST LIGHT: The Cleveland Hike 2026 KICKS OFF! 🥾🏔️

​While most of the country is still fast asleep hitting the snooze button, Cleveland ACF is already up, packed, and moving out!

​The sun has barely cleared the horizon, but basecamp has been a hive of tactical activity since the early hours. Our 3-Star and 4-Star cadet teams—alongside elite competitors from across the nation—woke up at first light, fueled up on their army ration packs, and quickly dismantled camp. Tents, sleeping mats, and bags were rolled, packed, and secured onto their bergens in record time.

​Before stepping off, all teams attended a vital safety and route briefing, ensuring they are ready to face whatever the moors throw at them. And yes—the ultra-tough teams from the Gurkhas are on the ground and ready for business! ⚔️

​With the briefings done, the safety teams deployed, and the competitive tension at an all-time high, our teams have officially crossed the start line and disappeared into the wilderness for the first grueling leg of their 30-mile trek.

​🗺️ What’s Happening Right Now:

​As you read this, our cadets are navigating their way through the first major checkpoints across the North York Moors. No phones, no GPS—just pure grit, a map, a compass, and unbeatable team spirit.
​They are carrying everything they need to survive on their backs, and the battle for the top spot leaderboard has officially begun.
