The Sea Cadets, Army Cadets UK, Royal Air Force Air Cadets, and Cadets In Schools help to give young people a real advantage in education and work.

A 2021 study by the University of Northampton found that Cadets develop key communication, teamwork and leadership skills and become more confident and resilient, setting them up for future success.

And under a new ‘30 by 30’ campaign launched last year, the Government has ambitious plans to expand Cadet opportunities for a new generation of young people.

The momentum of our "Community Engagement Carousel" reached a new peak this Wednesday as the legendary Coldstream Guards arrived at our Hartlepool Detachment.

This wasn't just a visit, it was a high-impact masterclass in excellence. From a deep-dive into military career mentorship to an interactive Q&A where our cadets grilled the best in the business, the energy was unmatched.

The night culminated in a Gold-Standard Drill Masterclass, delivered the "Coldstream Guards’ Way"—with the precision, discipline, and flair that has defined the Regiment for centuries. 📈✨

ACF (Claire Shore Trophy) & CCF(A) (Captain General Trophy) competition will be held during 27 - 31 July 2026 at CTC Frimley Park.

Eligibility:
✔️Master Cadet
✔️In-date WHT on L98A2
✔️16+ and Sgt+
✔️Serving ACF or CCF(A) during time of the competition
✔️JCIC or MOI qualified. (Please note: SCIC is no longer a prerequisite for this competition)

How to apply:
Your Contingent Commander/County Commandant is to submit the entry form and testimonial to the Courses Clerk NLT 01 Jun 26. The calling notice and documentation can be found on WM Event: /26/1156724
