💙 Still Parents Teesside Support Group – Tomorrow, Thursday 9th April 🩷

If you or someone you know has experienced the loss of a baby, please know that you are not alone.

Our Still Parents Teesside support group is a safe, understanding space where bereaved parents and families can come together, talk, listen, or simply sit with others who understand.

🗓 Thursday 9th April
⏰ 7:00pm – 9:00pm
📍 The Beacon Community Centre, Coulby Newham

Whether your loss was recent or many years ago, you are warmly welcome. There is no pressure to share — just come along for support, understanding, and community.

Please feel free to message our page if you have any questions.

💙 You are not alone. We remember every baby, always. 🩷

We are so sorry to share that due to unforeseen circumstances, we’re unable to host our support group this evening.

We know how important these evenings can be, and we understand that you may have been planning to attend. Please accept our sincere apologies for any disappointment this may cause.

Our next support group will take place on the second Thursday of next month from 7pm–9pm, and we look forward to being together then in a safe and understanding space.

In the meantime, please remember you are not alone. If you need to reach out, you can message the page and we will respond as soon as we are able.

Sending love to you all 🤍

Tomorrow is our December support group meeting and we are offering the opportunity to paint ceramic decorations in memory of our babies. Our Christmas crafts sessions are a wonderful way to keep our babies’ memories alive during the festive season, whilst having the space to speak about our babies in a safe, welcoming and understanding environment.

We will also provide some festive snacks!

Our final post after this week’s Wave of Light service contains some more much needed thank yous.

Firstly, we would like to express our gratitude to Acklam Cemetery, who for the last four years (and beyond) have provided unwavering support to us. They have provided the beautiful Chapel of Remembrance, which we have been able to bring alive once more with our services and unite together in our love for our babies. We have also held our ribbon walls in the baby garden for the last few years, which have been a huge success. Without the support from Acklam Cemetery and the lovely staff, none of this would have been possible.

Secondly, we would like to thank Co-op Funeral Care, Middlesbrough, who have also provided great support with printing our order of service each year and we are enormously grateful. They also attend every service and this means more than they realise.

Finally, we would like to thank Debby from Pacaccino for bringing your coffee van to provide refreshments for the evening.

We are a small charity, run by three trustees, and it means so much that members of our local community pull together with us to help us to provide a local Wave of Light service each year. Now to start planning next year’s service!x

On Wednesday we held our 4th Wave of Light service within the Chapel of Remembrance in Acklam Cemetery. We would like to thank everybody who came on the evening to let their baby’s light shine among a sea of flames flickering and lighting up the night sky. The ribbons on our ribbon wall looked beautiful as a backdrop to the shining candles and will remain a fixture dedicated to your babies until the end of October. We hope that the evening gave you somewhere to feel understood and where your babies could be remembered and celebrated. Please remember that you are never alone in this journey.x

We would like to say a huge thank you to Anita Aslin for providing her beautiful harp music at our Wave of Light service, for the second year. It truly helps to make the service extra special for local bereaved families.x

We would like to say a huge thank you to Steel Sisters choir, who have performed at our last two Wave of Light services and have brought that something extra special to the services. Despite not having as much notice this year, the ladies turned out in force and sang beautifully. Thank you so much ladies!x

We would like to say a huge thank you to Karen Marshall-Falland, who has given up her time for the past four years to come and lead our Wave of Light service. We are extremely grateful and our services wouldn’t be the same without her. Thank you Karen!x
