πŸ‘©β€πŸŽ“Learning that makes a real difference

One of the most rewarding parts of delivering Pre-Trial Therapy Training is hearing how learning translates into better support for survivors. πŸ‘‡πŸ»

"The knowledge I have learnt from Kerri would be very hard to sum into words. Not only do I feel more confident in my case notes for any pre-trial clients, I feel I learnt a lot about the process for survivors of abuse which will in turn help me have more advanced empathy for clients who have experienced this."

This feedback perfectly captures what specialist training should achieve.

Our Pre-Trial Therapy Training, delivered by Kerri, is designed to build confidence, strengthen practice, and help professionals navigate the complexities of supporting survivors involved in criminal investigations and proceedings.

Book onto our next session, coming soon.

πŸ“’ Start with Survivors

Too often, services and systems are designed around processes rather than people's lived experiences.

On Friday 2 October 2026, ARCH is proud to be partnering with RCTN and R**e&Sexual Abuse Counselling Centre - Darlington & County Durham to deliver Start with Survivors, a learning event for professionals who shape services, systems and policy affecting survivors of sexual violence.

This event will provide an opportunity to hear directly from survivors about their experiences of seeking support, helping us better understand what helps, what harms, and what makes a difference.

We're also delighted to welcome Sophie Olson, author of The Flying Child, as our keynote speaker.

Working together to improve supportπŸ™Œ

Our Participation and Training Coordinator, Kerri, recently had the opportunity to deliver training on Pre-Trial Therapy to members of the young people's team at A WAY OUT Charity

Pre-Trial Therapy can play an important role in supporting children and young people who have experienced trauma while navigating the criminal justice process. Understanding the guidance and best practice helps professionals feel more confident in providing ther**eutic support without jeopardising legal proceedings.

A huge thank you to the team at A Way Out for their engagement and thoughtful discussions. By sharing knowledge and working together, we can help ensure that children and young people receive the support they need, when they need it most.

πŸ’š Alongside the rest of Teesside, we are starting the week, coming to terms with the tragic loss of life that took place on the A66 over the weekend.

Like so many across our region, we are deeply saddened by the tragic events, which claimed the lives of seven people, including Cleveland Police officers PC Matthew Blades and PC Tom Clough, who died while serving our community.

Our thoughts are with the family, friends and loved ones of those whose lives have been changed forever by this tragedy. We work closely alongside police officers and staff every day in supporting survivors across Teesside & so know the dedication and commitment they bring to protecting and serving our communities.

Today, we are holding in our thoughts the colleagues, friends and wider policing family at Cleveland Police, who will be grieving the loss of two valued officers. We also recognise the impact this tragedy will have on emergency service personnel, partner agencies and the wider community.

Rest in peace πŸ’š

We're looking for a compassionate and motivated Mental Health Pathway Navigator who is passionate about making a real difference within their local community through person-centred support.

This new partnership will work alongside NHS teams, GP practices and voluntary and community organisations to create a more connected approach to mental health support, helping people navigate services and feel genuinely supported throughout their journey.

βš½πŸ’š What a fantastic evening at Billingham FC! πŸ’šβš½

We had a brilliant time at the match selling raffle tickets and meeting so many wonderful people. A huge thank you to the staff, players and supporters, who were all incredibly friendly, welcoming and happy to get involved.

Together, we sold Β£116 worth of raffle tickets, with 50% of the proceeds coming directly to ARCH to support our work in the local community. Thank you to everyone who bought a ticket!

Congratulations to Shaun, who won the half-time draw. He stepped up for his chance to hit the crossbar and take home the jackpot. Unfortunately, the crossbar remained undefeated! Gary then had a go for team Arch Teesside with the same result. πŸ˜„

The good news is that Shaun still walked away happy, winning £20 worth of beer tokens! 🍻

It was a great night all round, and we're delighted to have been invited back anytime to continue raising funds. We look forward to returning and working alongside such a supportive club and community.

We'd also like to say a huge thank you to Supporters for buying tickets too. Such a lovely gesture from the away team and very much appreciated by everyone at Arch Teesside. πŸ’šπŸ˜Š

Thank you again, Billingham FC! πŸ’šβš½
