Exploring AI, Marketing and Enterprise 🚀🤖

Students had the opportunity today to take part in engaging sessions with Joanna Wake, exploring the opportunities and applications of AI, and James Pennington from The Odd Baron, who introduced students to the world of marketing and commercial decision-making.

Throughout the sessions, students had the chance to use AI to create logos and develop branding for their own business ideas, bringing creativity and technology together. They also stepped into the shoes of a marketing team, tackling a real-world business challenge where they had to make commercial decisions, weigh up risks and use data to justify their choices.

By combining marketing strategy, commercial thinking and AI tools, students gained valuable insight into the skills increasingly being used across the digital and creative industries.

A huge thank you to Joanna and Jamie for delivering such engaging and interactive sessions and for helping to inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs and innovators.

On a recent career taster day, students stepped inside a real clinical environment and experienced another aspect of the world of health and social care first-hand.

Our High Tide Health and Social Care group were welcomed to Consultants Choice Clinic in by the brilliant Hailey Dobbs , who shared how she built the clinic from the ground up, the vision behind it, the specialist services it offers and the breadth of careers that exist within a setting like this.

From dermatology to urology, pain management to gynaecology, our students discovered that health and social care is not one career, it’s hundreds.

The students met the team, explored the equipment, discussed health issues and private health care, researched specialisms and took part in role-play scenarios, practising how to communicate with patients, handle challenging situations with the empathy and professionalism that healthcare demands.

A huge thank you to Hailey Dobbs and the whole Consultants Choice team for opening your doors and giving time so generously, making career pathways visible for the next generation. A fantastic visit and experience.

If you’re an employer in the who wants to inspire young people in the same way, we’d love to hear from you.
