🎆🌟 Bonfire Night Delights at Breckon Hill! 🌟🎆

On Tuesday Night at our Breckon Hill project, our amazing volunteers turned up the heat and treated our guests to a spectacular Bonfire Night-themed feast! 🍽️✨

The evening kicked off with a warming starter of carrot, chickpea, and vegetable soup, perfectly paired with fresh bread. 🥣🥖

For the main event, we served up a massive pie, accompanied by roasted sprouts and pumpkin, all nestled in a delicious mixed vegetable medley with a tomato and mild chili sauce. 🥧🍅🌶️

To bring the night to a sweet conclusion, we delighted our guests with homemade cinder toffee (a first-time triumph!), fresh fruit, gingerbread tortillas, and digestive biscuits topped with a playful blue squiggle of icing to resemble fireworks, alongside fresh buttercream topped with grated chocolate. 🍬🍪🍫

A huge thank you to our volunteers for their hard work and creativity, turning a chilly night into a warm and memorable celebration for everyone. 🎇🥂

18,000 tonnes of pumpkin go to waste in the UK each October.
That's a real horror story!

If you're putting pumpkin in the bin, you're missing out on so much.
Pumpkins are packed with vitamins C, E and A, which can support your skin and immune system (great for this time of year 🤧)
