One Voice Choir, Middlesbrough

One Voice Choir, Middlesbrough One voice is a community choir that brings together children and adults in the Middlesbrough and surrounding areas of the north-east of the UK.

The normal choir fees are £2.00 per person unless otherwise stated. Please note that the choir will not be meeting until the current covid restrictions allow the meeting of choirs.

Just a reminder that One Voice rehearsals are not going ahead today due to the church hall being needed by the church for Good Friday events. We will see all of you back next week and perhaps even welcome some new members.
If you would like to join us, come to Saint Hilda‘s Church Hall, TS6 7LY from 6 o’clock with rehearsals starting at 6:30-8PM.

We have learnt today of the tragic passing of Neil Sedaka, so in the coming days we will share some videos that we have done in the past that showcase his work. Enjoy this one called happy birthday sweet sixteen. May this musical icon now rest in peace.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his friends and family at this very difficult time. In the meantime, enjoy this happy number.

We have been revisiting a song we did about four years ago although we have done it many times in the years that we have been running. Enjoy this one called music and me. Very very much still in the rehearsal stages, but this is the kind of thing we get up to. Enjoy.

All our Christmas performances are done now for 2025 and what a year it has been for One Voice. Here we are all singing amongst our audience in our 2025 Christmas show. Sing along with us as we all join in with White Christmas.
From all of us in One Voice Choir, have a wonderful Christmas and a happy New Year. Rehearsals start again on Friday, the 9th of January when we will be very happy to welcome our members back and also to see new people joining us.
Come to Saint Hilda's Church Hall, Grangetown at 6:15 p.m. ready to start singing at 6:30. Children over the age of six and adults are welcome.

One Voice Choir is happy to announce that we are holding our Christmas show on Saturday, the 20th of December, but with a different start time this year. We have decided that the show will begin at 2 pm and will last approximately two hours including an interval where you can take advantage of a hot drink and some festive refreshments as well as listening to some fine singing.
We hope that you can join us. You can just pay on the door and tickets are £5 which will include one free drink and a festive treat.

One of the songs we did in our summer show is a brilliant vibrant upbeat number called wired for sound and was recorded and made famous by the brilliant Cliff Richard. We hope that you will enjoy this one.

The next song we are sharing from our summer show is a song that is done in a round or in musical terms a Canon. This one is called Janie Mama and Isabelle behind the camera does a great job of panning round the whole group as each of the parts comes in.

The first performance that we are sharing from our summer show is somewhere only we know in the brilliant hands of our lovely Alfie who is our young person outstanding achievement award winner for summer 2025 and he will hold onto the award until Christmas before handing it on to the next person.
Well done Alfie. 😊
