Today has really highlighted just how important the work we do at Strive Housing is 💜

Without going into any details, one of our residents found themselves in an incredibly difficult and unexpected situation today.

What happened next made me incredibly proud...

Our whole team pulled together. Everyone played their part and, most importantly, made sure that someone who had nowhere else to turn was not left behind.

It wasn't about whose job it was. It wasn't about passing responsibility. It was simply “What can we do, and how can we make this happen?”

And we did. ❤️

Days like today remind me that Strive is about so much more than housing. It's about people, compassion, dignity and second chances.

Sometimes a second chance starts with something as simple as having somewhere safe to go.

I am genuinely so proud of every member of the Strive team today. You stepped up, pulled together and showed exactly what Strive stands for.

No judgement. No giving up. Just people helping people.

🚨 We're Hiring – 2 x Support Workers 🚨

📍 Location: Teesside (travel between supported accommodation properties required)

⏰ Hours: 16–20 hours per week (per position)

💷 Pay: £14.00 per hour + mileage

You'll support adults living in supported accommodation, helping them to develop independent living skills, maintain their tenancies, access services, and work towards achieving their goals. This is a rewarding role where you can make a genuine difference every day.

Essential requirements:
✔️ Must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to your own vehicle
✔️ Willing to travel between supported accommodation properties (mileage paid)
✔️ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
✔️ Able to work independently and use your own initiative

As a newly established organisation, this is a unique opportunity to join us from the very beginning and play a key role in shaping our future. We're looking for people who want to grow with us, and there will be opportunities for career progression as the organisation expands.

Today the team at Strive Housing had the pleasure of welcoming a fantastic group of young people from Reintegreat Education Solutions

We spent time discussing future aspirations, career pathways and opportunities available as they move forward in life.

We included a fun range of teamwork activities and challenges. It was great to see enthusiasm and positive energy around the office, followed by the destruction of spaghetti and marshmallows🙂

We thoroughly enjoyed spending time with the students and we wish every one of them the very best for the future.

At Strive Housing Teesside, our journey within the housing sector is still growing - but our mission has always been clear: to support as many people as possible in a meaningful, sustainable, and person-centred way.

As we continue to develop, our model is evolving to better meet the needs of the individuals we support. Moving forward, we will be offering both short-term and long-term supported accommodation, giving us the flexibility to provide support that reflects each person’s circumstances, needs, and journey.

We understand that no two situations are the same. Some people may need temporary stability and guidance while they regain independence, while others may benefit from longer-term accommodation and ongoing support.

Our aim is to create safe, supportive environments where people feel respected, valued, and able to rebuild at their own pace.

This is just the beginning for Strive Housing Teesside, and we’re incredibly excited for what lies ahead. Thank you to everyone who has supported us so far - we look forward to continuing to make a positive difference across Teesside.

Today marks a very special milestone for Strive Housing 💜

We are incredibly proud to share that we have welcomed our first resident into Strive accommodation - a veteran taking the next step towards stability, independence, and a fresh start.

This moment represents exactly why Strive was created: to provide safe, supported accommodation for people who need it most, and to help create a foundation where individuals can begin to rebuild with hope.

Behind every door opened is more than just a property. It's safety. It's opportunity. It's a chance to move forward.

We’re really proud to share that we now have 50 hoodies and 50 beanies ready to hand out to those in need over the coming weeks.
