💗 MIDDLESBROUGH 10K — WHAT A DAY! 💗

What an absolutely brilliant day at the Middlesbrough 10K!

A HUGE thank you to every single person who pulled on the pink and ran for The Teesside Family Foundation today. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️💗

Whether you raced it, jogged it, walked it or simply battled your way to that finish line — we are incredibly proud of every one of you.

Every mile you covered and every pound you raised will help us continue supporting local Teesside families who need us most.

And a massive thank you to our amazing volunteer team. 💙

While everyone else was running, you were there early doors setting up, looking after our runners, handing out drinks and food, cheering people on and making sure everyone received that famous TTFF welcome when they finished.

Rain, sunshine and everything in between… you were there! ❤️

Days like today remind us exactly what our charity is all about.

💔 PLEASE HELP US GET PRIORY WOODS’ MINIBUSES BACK ON THE ROAD 💔

I am absolutely heartbroken and angry writing this.

Three minibuses at Priory Woods School and Arts College in Middlesbrough have been badly damaged.

Just look at the photographs.

Smashed windows. A destroyed windscreen. Damage inside the vehicles.

One of these minibuses is particularly close to our hearts — The Teesside Family Foundation contributed £30,000 towards it.

But this isn't about £30,000.

IT'S ABOUT THE CHILDREN. ❤️

Priory Woods supports children with special educational needs and disabilities, and these buses are not a luxury.

They are a lifeline.

They get children to and from school and allow them to experience the things every child deserves — the beach, the woods, the theatre, theme parks, school trips and days out.

They provide freedom, inclusion, independence and memories.

And with the children due back at school next week, three of those lifelines are now off the road.

So we're doing what Teesside does best.

WE'RE COMING TOGETHER. ❤️

We've launched a JustGiving appeal to help Priory Woods get these vital minibuses repaired or replaced and back where they belong — supporting the children.

WE ARE ABSOLUTELY SPEECHLESS. 💔

Three minibuses at Priory Woods School and Arts College in Middlesbrough have been badly damaged.

One of these is the minibus that we helped fund with £30,000.

we are angry and devastated. But more than anything, heartbroken for the children.

These aren't just minibuses.

For the children at Priory Woods, a school supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities, these vehicles are a lifeline.

They get children to and from school.

But they also give them the opportunity to experience things so many of us take for granted — trips to the woods, the beach, the theatre, theme parks and days out with their friends and teachers.

They give these children experiences, independence and memories.

And now, with the children due to return to school next week, three of their buses have been left like this.

Look at these photographs.

How anyone could deliberately damage vehicles that exist solely to support some of the most vulnerable children in our community is beyond me.

When our supporters helped us put £30,000 towards one of these minibuses, they did it because they wanted to make life better for these children.

Seeing it like this is absolutely devastating.

But this is Teesside.

We won't allow the actions of whoever did this to be the end of the story.

These children deserve their buses back.

VOLUNTEERS WANTED – BORO 10K!
The Teesside Family Foundation needs your help! ❤️

We’re looking for volunteers to join Team TTFF and help marshal at this year’s Middlesbrough 10K on Sunday August 30th 2026.

We’re predominantly looking for course marshals to help support the event, encourage the runners and make sure everyone gets safely around the course.

⏰ Approx. 7am – 12pm
🍫 Snacks and refreshments provided
🙌 No experience needed – just bring your enthusiasm and your best cheering voice!
