Metheringham Bowls Club The Bowls Club in Metheringham was founded in 1927, and is today still an active, friendly club that enjoys regular competitions with surrounding clubs.

Parking for the club is in this car park. The path is across the main road opposite the car park entrance.

Again a cool and breezy evening.

Thursday 4th June and the B team were at home to Washingborough B team.

The conditions were cool and windy but the rain held off.

The results were;

19-14
12-14
18-24

The scores do not show how one of the home team were way behind at one point but clawed it back to lose by only 6 points. Another home team had the reverse; was well ahead but still managed to win by 5 points.
The final home team were neck and neck all the way through and only lost by 2 points.

Wednesday 3rd June and away to Eastgate.

It was dry but the rink was wet at the beginning, quickly drying and speeding up when the sun appeared half way through.

We lost on two rinks but won the third by enough to get the aggregate bonus points.

The scores were;

20-14

Tuesday 2nd June at home to Washingborough. At the start of the match Metheringham were bottom of the league and Washingborough were just above with 3 points between the teams.

Not long before the start time a small thunderstorm passed through but by 7pm it was clear and remained dry for the match.

The results were;

10-10
13-24
12-8

With the final points shared 4-4, it leaves the positions as they were.

With the first full month of bowling already gone, here are the standings for all of the Metheringham teams.

We are also saddened to hear that Bardney have had to withdraw from the Monday and Thursday leagues. We can only hope this is only for this season and we look forward to seeing their return.
