Saturday 5th September and it’s Finals day for us.
Our mascot is ready for the action today with 7 finals taking place.

The green has been wanded ready for action which starts at 1000am.

The final results for all the leagues are now in.

The results have been delayed as some matches had to be played this week due to postponements earlier in the year and a very tight schedule for some leagues.

Concragulations to the Monday team as they finished the highest place for a Metheringham team this year, in 3rd place.

Tuesday team can't go down further as that is the lowest point and the same for the Thursday B team. The only way is up!

Thursday 27th August and the A team were at home to Norman House.

It did hold fair for the match although the last 5 ends on two rinks were played in semi darkness. Floodlights anyone!

Thursday 27th August and the last match for the B team, away to Eastgate.

After a very wet day the evening did stay dry but with a heavy going green.

With just tonight (Thursday 27th) matches to be played before the end of the season, there is still one event left to play. That is the finals of the internal cup competitions.

Weather permitting, there will be seven matches to be played during the day.
The action starts at 10am, so please do try to join us for some, if not all of the day.

Monday 24th August and the last Monday game of the season. We were away to Waddington.

The weather was bright and breezy.

The scores were;

19-19
19-13
16-18

So one rink win and one draw for Metheringham with the aggregate going to Waddington- just.

Thursday 20th August and away to Cherry Willingham.
The day had consisted of a number of heavy downpours and thundering.

Thankfully by the time the match started it was down to a few spots only.

Due to road closures the route to the green was not straight forward and for some there were transportation issues as well.

The last end finished in semi darkness.

The scores were;

18-11
9-27
10-15

giving Metheringham 10 points and Cherry Willingham 2 points.

Wednesday 19th August and away to Bassingham.

The match started in sunshine but about half way through, the match was halted whilst the green took a hydration break. These are quite popular this year and during the downpour both teams took the opportunity to enjoy a welcome cuppa.
The match then resumed and continued in sunshine.
