🏆 Merseyside Junior Chess Team – Season 2025/26 Presentation Evening ♟️

Tonight we celebrated the achievements of the children who represented the Merseyside Junior Chess Team during the 2025/26 season.

Every player should be incredibly proud of their efforts. For many of them, this was their first experience playing competitive over-the-board chess, taking on experienced and well-established adult players. They showed tremendous courage, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the season.

A special congratulations goes to Saswin, our top-performing player, who scored an outstanding 5.5 points from 8 games. A fantastic achievement and thoroughly deserved recognition.

Well done to all of our players for representing the team so brilliantly. The future of Merseyside chess is looking very bright! 👏♟️
