⏰ Final Week Reminder – 2026 Challenge! ⏰

We’re now into the last week for entries for the PTA 2026 Challenge!

We’ve already had some absolutely fantastic entries come through, it’s been brilliant to see the creativity, effort and enthusiasm from our pupils. We can’t wait to see what else comes in before the deadline!

A quick reminder that there are individual prizes up for grabs in each category, as well as a class prize for the group with the highest number of participants 👏

If your child hasn’t entered yet, there’s still time to get involved, remember, the focus is all about taking part and having fun.

We hope everyone has had a lovely Easter break and you are enjoying these last couple of days before returning to school!

It’s been fantastic to hear about some of the brilliant activities already taking place as part of our 2026 Challenge — well done to everyone who has got involved so far! Don’t worry if you haven’t started yet, there’s still plenty of time as the challenge doesn’t close until 27th April.

Just a reminder that the focus of the challenge is all about enjoyment and taking part, so we encourage all children to get involved in a way that suits them.

✨ About the 2026 Challenge
Running from Friday 27th March to Friday 27th April, the challenge encourages children to spend time doing something positive, creative or active, either independently, with friends, or with family. This might include helping others, organising an activity, creating something to share or sell, or taking on a personal or team challenge.

Children are invited to try to raise £20.26 through their activity, with funds going towards enriching school projects and experiences. While fundraising is part of the challenge, the main emphasis is on participation, creativity, teamwork, and making a positive contribution.

• Creative Enterprise Award
• Young Entrepreneur Award
• Community Action Award
• Active Challenge Award
• Team Effort Award
• Values in Action Award

🏆 Prizes per category
🥇 1st Prize: £15 Book Voucher + Goodie Bag
🥈 2nd Prize: £10 Book Voucher
🥉 3rd Prize: £5 Book Voucher

Plus, 5 “Outstanding Effort” badges per category and certificates for all participants! ⭐

🎬 The class with the highest number of participants will win a film afternoon with popcorn or ice lollies.

• All donations must be made via Collctiv (no cash payments)
• Please include your child’s full name, year group, and class when donating
• Entry forms should be returned to the school office by Friday 27th April.

We hope all the children enjoyed their Easter egg hunt yesterday, it was lovely to see so many smiling faces and everyone having such a great time! 🐣🍫

We are always so pleased to be able to gift every child an Easter egg, seeing the joy on their faces makes it all so worthwhile.

A quick reminder that the 2026 Challenge starts today and runs until 27th April 2026. We really hope the children enjoy taking part in an activity of their choice.

While fundraising is part of the challenge, the main emphasis is on taking part, being creative, working together, and making a positive contribution.

Please feel free to email [email protected] with any photos of what your children have been getting up to. We know there are already some exciting plans afoot, and we’d love to see them!

Lastly, we’d like to wish everyone a very Happy Easter from all at Forest Friends PTA. However you choose to spend it, we hope it is a time of joy, renewal, and making special memories with family and friends. 🌼

✨ Forest & Sandridge School Disco is back! ✨

We’re so excited for our school disco this evening Friday 20th March 2026 🪩🎶

There’ll be music, dancing, sweets and plenty of fun for the children, it’s always such a highlight in the school calendar!

💛 A few key things to note:

* Tickets are available via Collectiv (or on the night)
* Please check timings carefully for your child’s class
* Drop off and collection details are on the poster below

As always, every penny raised goes straight back into supporting the school, from resources and enrichment activities to improvements such as the library 📚✨

🎉 School Disco Reminder! 🎉

When booking through the new system, please make sure to include your child’s full name, class, and year group in the ‘Message for Forest’ section. This helps us match payments correctly and speeds up entry on the night.

A big thank you to everyone for getting on board with the new system — it’s really appreciated! We’re looking forward to seeing all the children at the disco on the 20th! 🪩✨

A letter will be coming out shortly with full details about our upcoming school discos on Friday 20th March.

🕺 Session 1: 4:30pm – 5:30pm
Apple, Cherry, Willow, Elm, Chestnut, Sycamore & Birch

💃 Session 2: 5:45pm – 6:45pm
Maple, Cedar, Poplar, Oak, Hazel, Elder, Beech & Pine.

Please note that as we no longer use ParentPay, payments will now be made through Collctiv. Full instructions on how to make your payment using this new platform will be included in the letter. We really appreciate you working with us as we transition to this new system.

Secondhand Uniform Sale: Postponed

We wanted to let you know that this Friday’s secondhand uniform sale has been postponed.

We’ve had a fantastic influx of donations, which we need time to sort through, and we are also in the process of moving our uniform supplies to a new storage space. As a result, we’re unable to go ahead as planned this week.

We will share the new sale date after half term.

📣 Rags 2 Riches Drop-Off Reminder! 📣

The gates will be open from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM today and tomorrow for Rags 2 Riches drop-offs.

✨ Can’t make it then? No worries—donations will still be accepted throughout the week, but must be dropped off by 9:00 AM on Thursday the 12th.

🎉 SILENT DISCO – SOLD OUT! 🎉

Forest Friends families, you did it again… our Silent Disco is now completely SOLD OUT! 💃🕺

We are absolutely blown away by the support for this event and can’t wait to see the hall full of glowing headphones, dance moves and big smiles. It’s going to be such a fun-filled evening for the children (and grown-ups too!).

A huge thank you from all of us at Forest Friends PTA for supporting our events every ticket helps us fund brilliant extras for the school. 💚

Let the disco countdown begin! 🪩🎶
