🎭HAPPY 18TH BIRTHDAY TYLER!🎭

From Snow White to fully fledged Masquerader!

Although Tyler has officially only been a member for the last two years, being part of the Higgins clan means the Masqueraders family has watched him grow up right before our eyes — in fact our club secretary was on a teaching placement in Tyler's class when he was in reception!

These days you’ll usually find him grafting away in the electric bay, getting stuck in and doing his bit to help bring the entry to life. Although recently he does seem to have developed a rather suspiciously close relationship with the first aid kit!

And, of course, if there’s food anywhere in the vicinity, you can guarantee Tyler won’t be far away!

But today is a big one…Which can only mean one thing… Black Sunday is going to be interesting this year!

Have an absolutely brilliant 18th birthday weekend Tyler....down the shed! 🎭🎂

🎭HAPPY 16TH BIRTHDAY ZACH!🎭

The celebrations keep coming and we're delighted it’s finally Zach’s turn!

From being a little lad, watching, helping and soaking up carnival wherever he could… to now reaching the grand old age of 16 and finally being able to officially join the Masqueraders ranks!

We've watched him grow up around the club he's part of the family already but Zach hasn't just relied on this alone. He's also clocked up plenty of hours working alongside Dad Dan and big brother Tyler in the electric bay, getting stuck in and helping wherever he’s needed.

So Zach… the waiting is over. You’re 16. The badge is calling. See you at the shed! 🎭

🎭 HAPPY 50TH BIRTHDAY SIMON 🎭

Today we’re celebrating our Life Member Simon, who officially joined the Masqueraders family back in 1996 with our Intergalactic Circus entry, although his connection to the club goes back much further.

Over the years Simon has been one of those people who is always happy to get stuck in, whatever department needs a hand. From electrics and engineering to the chippy bay and everything in-between he’s put in countless hours helping bring our entries to life, both in the build and out on the road as crew.

Simon has always loved having a creative input, and if we had to recall just one club highlight over the years it has to be his involvement in designing our Starkey Cup winning entry, Wrath of Neptune, in 2007.

Have a brilliant 50th birthday, Simon! Here’s to plenty more carnival memories and getting stuck in wherever you’re needed! We can't wait for the cake delivery this weekend! 🎂🎭

It's a busy Tuesday night down the shed but we need to stop work to share a special milestone for these two love birds!

Happy 25th wedding anniversary to Flear and Hev.

To Molly and Jack you're Mum and Dad but to us they're Hev the unmatched Guinness champ (if you remember, well done, many of us can't! 🥴) and life member Flear is the avid concert goer...if he hasn't seen them live (and kept the ticket) they're not worth knowing.

Here's to many more years of partnership and happiness and thank you for all you both continue to do for us! 🎭

Happy 85th birthday to our Club President and Landlady Liz!

Liz, your friendship, loyalty and never-ending support for the club (and our bingos) means more than we could ever put into words. You’ve always been there for us, through the good times, the difficult times and everything in between. And of course, no Masqueraders build would be quite the same without one of your cakes to keep the troops fed!

You and your dearly missed Basil have undoubtedly helped Masqueraders become the club we are today, and we genuinely cannot put into words how much we value your generosity and support.

You’re not just our President and landlady, you’re the roots of the Masqueraders family and we’re incredibly lucky to have you. So today, we hope you put your feet up, enjoy a slice of cake, and raise a glass...or three!
