🎭 HAPPY 50TH BIRTHDAY PICK 🎭

Today we’re celebrating Paul “Pick” or, as he’s better known around these parts, Mr Carnival!

Pick has been a Raider like Gary since Xango in 1993, and over the past 30+ years he’s become one of those people who is simply part of the fabric of Masqueraders. A key figure in the Chippy Bay, he has been involved in many entries, memories and, naturally, more than his fair share of carnival chat!

A proud Life Member of Masqueraders, Pick’s passion for carnival goes far beyond our own club. Previous Chairman of Mid Somerset Gangs and Features and now he currently holds the position of Vice Chairman of the Somerset County Guy Fawkes Carnival Association, continuing to give his time, knowledge and enthusiasm to the wider carnival community.

Quite simply, Pick lives and breathes carnival. If there’s a carnival gossip there’s a very good chance Pick knows about it!

Have an absolutely brilliant 50th birthday, Pick. Here's to many more years of dancing, selfies, banter and keeping the rest of us up to date with what's going on! 🎭

🎭HAPPY 70TH BIRTHDAY!🎭

Better known to some as KFC… or to others, simply Colonel. Dare we mentions Quins geppetto?!

Join us in celebrating a milestone birthday of life member Gary who joined us all the way back in 1993. Over 30 years of carnival, chaos, sequins, paint and banter… and somehow he's still here!

Gary has turned his hand to pretty much every area of the build over the years and even had a spell as our Treasurer but these days you'll find him in the modelling department (with his very own fan!)
From Xango to today, Gary has been a key member of the Masqueraders family and has played a part in countless memories, builds and entries over the years.

Love him or hate him, he's a Masquerader!

What a busy day fundraising yesterday across three different sites.

🌞Face painting, tombola and a penalty shoot out plus a day and night BBQ at Burtle Harvest Home event
🥂A lovely wedding bar near Highbridge
⭐As well as face painting at Paddington Farm

A massive thank you for booking us for your events we really appreciate it.

A huge thank you to our members too, it was a mission from set up teams, stocking the different events, organising, making sure floats and card machines were good to go and of course staffing the events, what teamwork!

All of this plus a team on route to the shed for another day of building.

Let's go Raiders!

A huge Happy 18th Birthday to Cameron! 🎉🎭

From taking on carnival 'homework' because he just can't leave it alone, it's safe to say carnival isn't just a hobby... it's an obsession!

It's been brilliant watching you grow up around the club, and your 'enthusiasm', dedication and willingness to help never go unnoticed.

Now you've reached the grand old age of 18, there's just one important milestone left... Dad said you've got to pay your own subs now! Welcome to adulthood!

Happy 40th birthday to our very own Gav/Gavin/Gavla

A man who’s worn many hats within the club, ex chairperson, business brain, organisational powerhouse, and the driving force behind our legendary Glastonbury fundraiser can we all get a 'Milky Milky'. If there’s a spreadsheet to be conquered, a plan to be made, or a fundraising idea to turn into reality, Gav’s usually already three steps ahead of the rest of us.

This year we might not be seeing you off your face in a field with a Bacardi in hand, but we still hope you have an absolutely incredible 40th birthday!

Thank you for everything you do for the club, Gav, your hard work, graft and dedication never go unnoticed (even if we don’t say it enough!).
