Let's get this rehoming party started! 🎉🍻 The gentleman below is just trying to do the right thing by a cat he is trying to help.

"He showed up about 6 months ago as a stray. Took him in and got him neutered and vaccinated. I also had him tested and he came up positive for feline leukemia. A second test verified it as regressive feline leukemia. I'm going in for a major surgery soon and I need desperately to find a home. I live alone. He is affectionate to an extreme big time. About 1 to 2 years in age. He needs help as do I. Any help would be appreciated."

This gentlemen has other cats so no, he cannot keep this cat.(They are currently separated.) Besides which, the gentleman is having surgery in the next couple of weeks, lives alone, and has no one to look after the cat. Can you help? If so, please contact Mark. (Contact info coming soon!)

Hi ho Silver! This senior kitty lost his owner last month so we put out a plea for a new home. The family had decided they would care for him, but steadfast Cheryl told them if they changed their mind, she would happily take him in. They tried, but ultimately decided that Cheryl could better provide the loving home that Silver needed. Thank you Cheryl for sticking around!! ❤️😍😘🏡

"The elderly woman who owned this cat recently passed away. Her family, who lives out of state, are not able to take him. If they do not find a home in the next week, they will be placing him in the shelter, which may or may not be a no kill one. We are trying every avenue available to find a home for him. His name is Silver. He's approximately 15 to 16 years of age he may possibly be declawed, he is very shy, and was well loved and cared for. Can you help?"

That face! 18 year old Katy is in a pickle, can you give an old gal a happy ever after?

Unfortunately, Katy's mom has advanced dementia. Her family has stepped in in the meantime, but the reality is, 2 young boisterous dogs plus small children are just too much for a tiny (6 lbs!) elderly sweetie, and she deserves a tranquil retirement.

An affectionate *lapcat*, Katy is healthy, vaxxed, and just the sweetest thing! The family does not know how she is with other cats.

And just like that, Bertie is gone.
What we thought was stress behavior, or kidney failure turned out to be 2 masses pressed against Bertie's kidneys. This is why he was peeing outside the box. Not kidney disease, not stress bahavior, not arthritis.

Just a day after we asked you for advice about litter for arthritic cats, he suddenly looked like he lost 5lbs overnight and just stopped eating altogether. We said goodbye to Bertie this afternoon, thanks to the kindness of Milly Vet. He was a good boy and gave us great joy in his short 18 months with us.

We are glad Bertie's name lives on in former foster Fork! But boy, is the house quiet compared to last week. 😕

Fork has left the building!!

We have sent 2 kids off to college in the past and trust us when we say that seeing Fork off to his forever home felt very similar!! 😭 😭 😭

Fork will now be called Bertie (he never answered to Fork anyway) and will have cat pal Mabel, and dog pal Poppy in his forever home. New mamma Lisa walked in the door, and in true Fork fashion, he literally threw himself at her feet. Who can say no to that? 😂

We would like to thank all of you for your longtime support and love for him, going way back to the fundrasier this time last year for his much needed dental. And thank you to David for covering Fork's adoption fee! And of course, a million thank yous to his mamma Lisa who saw this portly peanut for the gem that he is. My goodness, the house seems so still without him!
