Great meeting Carole of Foodbank River Network Matlock ❤️

They provide foodbank support four days a week and have been going since the pandemic 🍴

High Peak Comps has donated £100 worth of tinned meats and we are on a mission to donate to 12 foodbanks in 2026 🍋

Here’s who we have donated to so far:

January - Tameside East Foodbank 🍇

February - Ashbourne Foodbank 🥑

March - Chelwood Foodbank 🍊

April - Foodbank River Network Matlock 🍎

Big thanks to Lidl and Paul for supporting school in Chesterfield, attended rates have also gone up !

Paul,

I wanted to take a moment to say a sincere thank you for supporting us with the delivery of the Lidl bakery items for our students. We are incredibly grateful for your help in making this possible.

The students genuinely look forward to Wednesdays now. It has become something special for them, and there is always a real buzz of excitement after school as they come to collect their treat. In fact, Wednesday has become our most well-attended day, and this wonderful scheme has certainly played a part in that.

It’s also been fantastic to see students trying new bakery items they may not have experienced before. The initiative feels truly inclusive as well, giving every student the chance to enjoy something nice together at the end of the school day.

Your support has made a meaningful difference to our school community, and we really appreciate the time and effort that goes into organising and delivering the items each week.

Thank you again for helping us make Wednesdays something our students really look forward to.

Good Afternoon to you and Terry, thank you so much for keeping us going in January with such beautiful happy making flowers and all the lovely food, salads, delicious bread, tasty treats for breakfast, the gingerbread milk was used in my porridge all week 😊 the tomatoes, chia seed pots, tasty sandwiches and wraps, sausage rolls plus lots of other lovely food have been so helpful to get us through this stormy and wet January. RIVER NETWORK WOODLAND PROJECT

The River Network Woodland Project is proud to announce its latest initiative aimed at supporting homeless shelters and supported housing projects through the creation of planters and raised beds. A dedicated team of service users recently came together to lend their skills and expertise, fostering community development and leadership along the way.
This project not only addresses the immediate need for green spaces in urban areas but also empowers individuals facing homelessness by involving them directly in the development process. By constructing these planters and raised beds, participants are not only contributing to their communities but also gaining valuable skills that will assist them in their personal and professional development.
Caleb, a participant, shared his thoughts, “This experience has shown me that we can make a real difference. It’s more than just building things; it’s about building hope and connection.”
Antonio added, “Being part of this team has inspired me to think about my future. I’ve learned so much, and I want to continue helping others in our community.”
The River Network Woodland Project believes in the power of collaboration and the importance of building leadership skills among service users. Through hands-on activities and teamwork, participants are encouraged to engage with their community, fostering a sense of belonging and purpose.“Community development is at the heart of what we do,” stated Paul, Project Coordinator for the River Network Woodland Project. “By involving service users in these projects, we’re not just creating green spaces; we’re nurturing future leaders who can inspire change in their communities.”
This initiative is a testament to the resilience and creativity of individuals working together for a common goal. The planters and raised beds will not only beautify local shelters but also provide fresh produce for those in need, promoting self-sufficiency and sustainability.
The River Network Woodland Project invites the community to support this initiative by volunteering, donating materials, or simply spreading the word. Together, we can create a greener, more inclusive environment for everyone.
