HOSTAS Come and hear Peter Savage of Bowden Nusery share his expert knowledge on everything to do with these striking plants; Wednesday 24th June, 2026, 7:15 for 7:30pm at Stoke sub Hamdon Memorial Hall. Check the nursery’s web shop https://www.Bowdens nursery.com/ Members will receive a discount on their order and pay no P&P. WEDNESDAY 27th May our speaker is NIGEL STONE, zoologist. Come and hear his talk “Wild about Gardening”. He has identified more than 850 species of animals and insects in his Somerset garden. As well as amazing pictures he has a mass of practical information about encouraging wildlife in your garden, especially bees.
We meet in SSH Memorial Hall. Doors open at 7:15 pm for 7:30pm start. Free to members, £5:00 to visitors. Refreshments included. Come and hear Sally Morgan talk to us about coping with too much water in the garden on Wednesday 22nd April, 7:15 pm for 7:30 pm, free for members and £5:00 for visitors at Stoke sub Hamdon Village hall. Sally is a no-dig organic gardener and author. Her garden, The Old coach House, is open on August 1st as part of the National Garden Scheme.
