Matt Wilde is a pianist, producer, and composer from Manchester, whose music lives at the intersection of jazz improvisation and electronic beat-making. A self-taught musician with roots in the UK hip hop and club scenes, he blends analog textures, intricate drums, and raw live energy to shape a sound that’s both soulful and future facing.

Matt’s latest album ‘Find a Way’ and debut album ‘Hello World’ have been championed by BBC Radio 1, 2, 3, 6, Jazz FM, Worldwide FM, and he has performed at major UK jazz festivals and institutions like Camden’s Jazz Cafe. Through his imprint Hello World Records, Matt champions creative independence, accessibility, and a new wave of boundary-pushing UK jazz.

Daft to try to pick one image isn't it, but this one from Saturday reminds us that we were ok with the weather after all! Phew.

Huge thanks for everyone who came out, showed up and supported in every way. Great weekend. We'll be back next year.

We're bringing you a barnstorming Saturday night finale for this year's Marsden Jazz Festival!

A saxophonist, arranger, band leader and all round festival legend returns to our headliner stage with Rod Mason and the 007s - an elite group of musicians playing Rod’s own arrangement of themes, songs and incidental music from the Bond movies.

We're putting on a free double-bill on our headliner stage to kick on the jazz festival weekend featuring two brilliant youth jazz bands.

Our special free showcase concert will see Musica Junior Jazz and Musica Youth Jazz Collective performing at Marsden Mechanics at 6.30pm on Friday 9th October.

Tickets are free but you need to book in advance through our box office website to guarantee a seat.

It's MJF next weekend people!
Here's a little public information broadcast about road closures during the festival...
You may have seen the signs (pictured). We are closing Peel Street to traffic between Marsden Mechanics and Manchester Road over the weekend at these times:
11am - 5pm Sat 10th October
12 - 3pm Sunday 11th October
It would really help if you could avoid parking within the coned areas during these times. Thank you!
The Peel Street stage will be up and running with live music whilst the road is pedestrianised. Come along and enjoy!
