To summarise our Slot it 24 Hour race Barcelona it’s been very interesting, fun , difficult, and horrendous!!!!!!
We raced the best we have ever done we were all did competitive lap times our best was a 14.7 the best lap time 14.2 of the entire race.
The only car problem we had is the guide got a bit sticky so we oiled it and solved the problem.
We have thoroughly enjoyed the race the people and track were fantastic .
So we finished 23rd but all drove better than we thought as the Spanish are known as some of the best slot car drivers in the world.
THEN ROBBED !!!!!!5 minutes from the airport.
We lost almost everything controllers, cars, 5 x suitcases, 5 x rucksacks, laptop, tools etc etc. Neal got stuck in Barcelona for an extra night as they stole his passport as well. We are into a loss of well over 5 figures.
If you are travelling to Barcelona the situation is horrendous we we’re extremely careful this trip taking everything out of the car at all times but you don’t expect to get the car broken into at a busy Carrefour at 2o’clock in the afternoon 5 mins from the airport! BE WARNED IT A SERIOUSLY BIG PROBLEM IN BARCELONA
