Many cut flowers are imported and travel thousands of miles before reaching a vase. By choosing locally grown, seasonal flowers, you’re enjoying fresher blooms with a lower environmental impact while supporting local growers and biodiversity.

We’re delighted to have Hay Meadow Flowers in the Pewsey Vale, growing beautiful British flowers just a stone’s throw from the flower stand. If you’re passing through Alton Priors, it’s well worth a visit to see the field in full bloom and pick up a stunning bunch of fresh, locally grown flowers. 🌻💐

Supporting local businesses like Hay Meadow Flowers helps keep our rural community thriving.

We’re proud to be playing our part in creating a resilient and sustainable future for the Pewsey Downs. 🌾🦋

Our recent Summer Farm Walk and Barbecue was another fantastic evening, with more than 70 people from our member farms joining us at Pewsey Hill Farm, by kind permission of the Bowerman family.

This annual event is always a highlight of the calendar, providing a great opportunity to catch up with fellow members and enjoy some social time before the busy harvest season, while also taking a look around one of our members’ farms. Pewsey Hill Farm offered spectacular views across the Pewsey Vale towards the Pewsey Downs, making it the perfect setting for the evening.

During the farm walk, we saw some of the excellent environmental work being undertaken by the Bowerman family, including Charles’s impressive hedge laying. Ridgeway Sprayers also gave a practical demonstration of their agricultural drone, explaining how drone technology can deliver both crop management and environmental benefits.
