Happy No-Dig day! We harvested all this wonderful, nutritious veg from our no-dig beds. The veg all went into our seasonal, local veg boxes. So fresh and vibrant and bountiful.

Today we dug the first of our parsnips. These are a variety called Tender and True. They are grown from saved seed, this is our fourth year of saving seed. Each year the parsnips are more impressive. This year the roots are extremely long. We think because we didn’t water these parsnips at all this summer and the roots went a long way down searching for moisture. These parsnips are on their way to your veg boxes this week. -dig box

Toughest decision we've ever had to make but the forecast is so bad for Sunday that we're POSTPONING the Heritage Festival to Sunday 12 October so it will combine with all the Apple Day activities.
