Welcome to the Hive!
We are the Queen Bee youth project based in Leicestershire. Winners of the Hinckley and Bosworth Council - Making a difference in the community award 2019. Who are we? By day Zoe is an OFSTED registered (rated outstanding, obviously) child minder and Jo is a marketing & finance manager & youth worker - both living in Markfield. Jo has a higher distinction in youth work and adolescent depression at level 3. Two strong mothers with a passion to keep our beautiful young ladies off the streets, off their phones and making healthy lifestyle choices. We aim to gear them with the confidence and knowledge to thrive in this crazy world!
We focus on physical and mental well being, life skills, staying active, helping in the community and having lots of fun! With an array of experience and qualifications from psychology, mental health, accounting, management, childminding, youth work, basic army training, classical music and more we are a fountain of useful knowledge and we’re ready to share it with your busy bees! When do we run? Thursday evenings, 7pm - 8:30pm Markfield Sports and Community Centre, Mayflower Close, LE67 9ST (Full) How much? £4 per session - this covers activities, insurance and venue hire
How do we join? Pop us a Facebook message with your child’s name and date of birth. We’ll put them on the list for a space & send you the necessary paperwork to enrol. There is a £12 member fee which includes the Queen Bee t-shirt.
