Today is , and the bluebells at Stoneywell are beginning to put on a beautiful show 💙

They’re not quite at their peak just yet, but they’re already filling the woodland and garden with colour, accompanied by birdsong and the gentle sounds of spring – a lovely time to visit and take it all in.

As you explore, please help us care for these special flowers. Bluebells are a protected species and take five to seven years to grow from seed to bloom. If they’re picked or trodden on, they can be damaged and may not flower again. By sticking to paths and leaving them undisturbed, you’re helping to protect them for years to come.

The orchard has burst into bloom as part of this year's Festival of Blossom. 🌸

We often don't see much blossom from these old fruit trees, so we've added some colour ourselves! Over the winter, our volunteer team tirelessly crocheted and knitted countless woolly wind spinners, which are now twirling in the trees.

Take a breather and enjoy petals swaying in the breeze this spring, from magnolias to rhododendrons to camellias.
