Our team of experienced tutors and relaxed group-learning environment means that you get the chance to try out a range of instruments (guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, vocals and music-tech), quickly build your skills and confidence, and learn to play the songs you love. We also give you the opportunity to compose your own tracks, learn more about the music industry, focus in on key skills during our master classes and best of all join a band and play real live gigs! With over twenty years of experience playing live in orchestras, bands and as a solo performer, Mike began playing music as a young child, learning the violin and Hammond organ before graduating to guitar, drums and bass, playing in several bands around Liverpool and Sheffield in the 90s. Now a qualified Music Educator (MEP / CTTLS), Mike created Room for Music to provide an alternative approach to traditional one-to-one instrument tuition, with the emphasis on learning to play as part of an ensemble from the outset to boost creativity and confidence. Mike has hand picked a team of talented professional musicians and tutors who help to lead workshop sessions and ensure an unrivalled mix of knowledge and experience.
