Sea Monsters can lie dormant undiscovered in the depth of the sea for hundreds of years, but human activity can cause them to awake and attack! The construction work at Turner Contemporary has caused just such a disturbance on Margate harbour and a Sea Monster attack is now imminent. We established the Margate Sea Monster Society to monitor local reports about sea monster and prepare for their inv

asion. Some people have dismissed these monster stories as ‘made-up to justify human anxiety about the unknown’. It is true that people in Margate are indeed anxious about the unknown results of current regeneration projects in their town, but concerns about sea monster attacks should not be dismissed as unreasonable. Horror stories about local monster have been on the increase so watch out!
