A core motivation to get CRONE up and running was born from The Menopause Mandate which helps employees by fostering a supportive, menopause-friendly culture, which is especially critical given that from research 1 in 10 women have left their jobs due to lack of support.
This long overdue new legal requirement in the UK requires large businesses - specifically those with over 250 employees - to develop, publish, and implement Menopause Action Plans. Voluntary adoption is encouraged from April 2026, with full mandatory compliance expected in 2027.
It mandates that large employers must document how they support women experiencing menopause at work. Including:
Manager Training: Educates leaders to recognise menopause-related challenges and provide appropriate support.
Access to Experts: Gives employees direct access to the best menopause professionals in the UK for tailored answers.
Educational Resources: Provides webinars, workshops, and toolkits for both managers and staff to understand symptoms and solutions.
Mandated Action Plans: Pushes for legislation that requires large companies to create Menopause Action Plans, which can include flexible working hours, temperature-controlled environments, and uniform adjustments.
Normalising the Conversation: Ends the silence around symptoms like anxiety, brain fog and low mood helping women feel empowered rather than ashamed.
Retention of Talent: By urging employers to make adjustments, it helps keep experienced women in the workplace, reducing the need for women to reduce hours or leave their jobs.
Research by the group has shown that over 90% of women feel their quality of life suffers due to menopause, and 60% discovered they were menopausal through their own research, rather than professional guidance. The Menopause Mandate aims to bridge this gap in both healthcare and employment.
CRONE is listening, learning and applying this to what we need as self-employed people - women, trans men and non-binary folks.

Our platform will go live in June 2026.⚡️
