Hi all! As you know, St. John’s Youth Group was nominated for a Pride in Fenland award at the beginning of this year but due to COVID-19 the awards ceremony was unable to be held. I received the following email from the organisers this week, so if you want to join in the online ceremony on 12th January, follow the link below and we can celebrate sort of together. I would like to say how proud I am of you all for making your idea a reality which has proved to be so valuable during the pandemic to around 120 people a week. X Karen

Pride In Fenland Awards 2020


We hope this email finds you well. As you will be aware, earlier this year we made the very difficult decision to postpone the Pride in Fenland Awards 2020 prior to going into a national lockdown. As Fenland is currently under Tier 2 High Risk restrictions, we are still unable to celebrate your collective achievements together, but I am delighted to let you know that we will instead be holding an online awards evening on Tuesday 12th January 2021.

If you would like to join the event go to www.youtube.com/user/FenlandCouncil/ and click on the Pride In Fenland Awards 2020 video. If you would like a quick chat about how to find us online, please call our Community Support Team on 01354 622384 before the event and we will be happy to guide you.

The awards presentation will be available to watch from 7.00pm and there will be a chat function where you can congratulate nominees while the awards are happening.

Because we are not able to meet in person this year, we would love to be able to show some photographs of our amazing volunteers instead. If you have any photos that you would be happy to share with us, please can you send them to [email protected] by no later than Friday 18th December 2020. We must make you aware that by sending us your photographs, you are giving us permission to use them during the online awards presentation, which will be accessible to all.

We sincerely hope that you will join us on the awards night, to celebrate our amazing volunteers, making it a memorable evening for us all.

Chat-Tea phone is now manned for lunch orders for today. Please contact us on: 01354 607590 if you or someone you know would like a lunch.

If you don't require a lunch but could use some bread or fruit/veg, or know of someone else who could, we have some available today also.

Chat-Tea Takeaway is open today for lunch. This is a free service to anyone in need and we are not charging, although we will accept any donations if you feel able. Today's options are:
Jacket Potato with cheese and/or beans
Pasta in Tomato Sauce
Soup with toasted ham and/or cheese sandwich
