We look forward to welcoming new Metal Peterborough director Vivianna Checchia to our Creative Fenland hub to host Open Advice sessions for Fenland Artists on Tuesday 16th June. We are bringing our Open Advice 1:1 sessions to Fenland for the first time in collaboration with Creative Fenland!
Hosted by Viviana Checchia, our Director of Metal Peterborough, and Creative Fenland these sessions will be led by you and what you would like to discuss, which might include:

💡 Discussing your creative practice

💡 Talking through a project idea
💡 Discussing funding or building up relationships...and more!

Get ready for the 3 open weekends this summer! ✨

Along with Richard Savage, I decided that I wouldn't do Cambridge Open Studios this year but we're very excited to be having three open weekends at Savage Art Studios in the summer. :) There will be lots of art, of course, 😁 but also demos of various techniques, mini have-a-go workshops, buckets of coffee and loads of conversation! More info coming soon but in the meantime, here's the nuts and bolts of the weekends!

What a beautiful evening at 20TwentyProductions CIC Fenland Poet Laureate Awards last night at March Town Hall.

✍🏼 A stunning array of words and heart from all the poets of all ages sharing their work. Congratulations to Pascale Palmer who was crowned Fenland Poet Laureate 2026 with the winning poem 'A Rose'.

⭐And second place to Paul Dance with Hearts & Sharks...and Creative Fenland's Alan Seiglow came in third place too with "The No.46 Paula Armstrong takes one small step, one giant leap!"

New International Encounter (NIE) are a brilliant Theatre Company making work in the Fens along with Gorilla Circus and Angles Theatre, Wisbech. They are looking for help for a future production find out more and meet them on 22nd May at March Town Hall

You are invited to inspire a new show for the inaugural 'Made in Fenland' Festival, premiering next summer – a celebration of the stories, people and landscapes that define the Fens.

Applying for funds and grants as an artist can feel daunting, especially when negative voices appear creating doubt and anxiety. Join us on Wednesday 6th May, 6-8pm 📍 REMO Trading for a supportive session with practical tips and exercises on taming some of those self sabotaging thoughts and worries.

We'll also be looking at ACE NLPG templates as a group to go through templates to help with making a bid for project grants.
