🎄🎅 Christmas Planning at FACT Community Fridge! 🎅🎄
It's that time of year again, and we're busy making plans for Christmas, including confirming our opening days over the festive period. We'll share these with you very soon!
🎁 A Little Christmas Treat for the Children
As in previous years, we'd love to make Christmas that little bit more special for the children who visit our Community Fridge. If anyone is able to donate some sweets or chocolates, we would be incredibly grateful. Every little donation helps us spread some Christmas cheer! ❤️
🥕🥔 Christmas Fruit & Veg Bags
Last year, we introduced our Christmas fruit and vegetable bags to help households who needed a little extra support over the festive period, and we're hoping to do the same again this year.
We will include two raffle tickets in your usual Community Fridge bag leading upto Christmas. If you feel your household would benefit from some additional fruit and vegetables for Christmas, simply return one of the tickets to us. Your Christmas bag will then be ready with your number on to collect at our final opening before Christmas.
❤️ A Little Request from Us
As always, we operate this scheme entirely on trust. Our funds are very limited, and we want to make sure we can help those who are finding things particularly difficult this Christmas.
We therefore kindly ask that you only request a Christmas bag if you genuinely need that extra support. This will help us stretch our resources as far as possible and support as many struggling households as we can.
There is never any judgement, and no questions will be asked. We simply want to make sure that the help reaches those who need it most. Households can collect on behalf of someone (only 1 household) and we will need their postcode as well.

We are always grateful for any donations into our pot on the wall outside, this money goes directly to the fridge, as you can imagine our costs have increased this year, you will notice for example, the allergen labels on the cake bags - 5,000 of these cost £175 but is a requirement we have to stomach and 5,000 across all our fridges don't last long. Our volunteers kindly donate their time and none of the lovely volunteers claim any fuel which I am so grateful for.
