Mansfield Soup Kitchen We’re at 32 Church Street Mansfield feeding the homeless every Wednesday from 6.30pm

We rely on community donations mainly to provide warmth and shelter to our communities homeless and most vulnerable. We may be called a Soup Kitchen but it's not often we actually give out soup, we've had pies to pasta bakes, cooked breakfast to chilli con carne, we aim to give a good hearty meal and food to take away as well as toiletries, tents, sleeping bags, camping stoves, hot water bottles etc, basically anything for warmth and a bit of comfort especially now it is getting so cold on a night.

Huge thank you to The Paper Moon Day Nursery at Forest Town, staff, pupils and their families have been collecting items for Harvest Festival to donate to MSK. As you can see some budding artists had decorated the box, a box so big we had to use a trolley to get it to the car, then at the other end we had to empty it some to be able to move it into the kitchen.

So tonight was an unusual night, some new faces and some we’ve not seen in a while, but all tucked into spaghetti & meatball bolognese with garlic bread along with lashings of rice pudding and jam afterwards.
You can tell it’s getting colder as people are starting to ask for blankets, coats etc as well as the normal tents and sleeping bags, we are seriously low so if anyone is throwing any out then please consider throwing them our way, we can certainly put them to good use
