๐Ÿ’› An update from Jasmineโ€™s fundraising challenge

We have a little bit of sad news to share. After putting so much into her training, Jasmine has had to withdraw from the Bedford Half Marathon because of an injury. ๐Ÿ˜”

But we are excited to announce she will be running the London Landmarks half marathon instead on 4th April 2027!

We know how much she was looking forward to taking on the challenge, particularly after starting running only a few months ago and smashing her original ยฃ1,000 fundraising target.

But this isn't the end of Jasmine's fundraising journey. ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ’ช

Jasmine is working hard with her physio to get her running shoes back on, to continue her challenge for S.H.E. UK. We couldn't ask for more from someone who has already given so much of her time and energy to supporting survivors as one of our volunteer therapists.

And to everyone who has already donatedโ€ฆ
Thank you. Truly. ๐Ÿ’›

We know some people may be wondering what happens to the money they've already donated now that Jasmine isn't able to take part in the race.
Your donations are still supporting S.H.E. UK. The money raised through Jasmine's fundraising campaign will come to the charity and will help us continue our work supporting survivors.

Don't worry, your donations will be held in her Just Giving account for us and the total will continue to build as we head towards the spring. All money raised through Jasmine's fundraising campaign will come to the charity and will help us continue our work supporting survivors, whether previously donated or donated in the future.

For now, our priority is getting Jasmine back on her feet. We'll be cheering her on when she's ready to take on her challenge again!

Get well soon, Jasmine ๐Ÿ’›

And to everyone who donated, shared her story or cheered her on: thank you for being part of Jasmine's journey and supporting S.H.E. UK. ๐Ÿ™

Weโ€™re already celebrating a fantastic milestone - Jasmine has smashed her first ยฃ1,000 fundraising target! ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ™Œ

And now, with the Bedford Half Marathon just weeks away on 6 September, weโ€™re setting our sights even higher: ยฃ2,000!

Jasmine joined S.H.E. UK as a volunteer therapist in June 2025, generously giving her time, compassion and expertise to support survivors. This September, sheโ€™s taking on a very personal challenge โ€” running the Bedford Half Marathon to raise vital funds for S.H.E. UK.

Even more impressive? Jasmine only started running a few months ago! ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ’ช
Sheโ€™s already achieved so much, and weโ€™d love your help to get her the rest of the way to ยฃ2,000 before race day.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, helps S.H.E. UK continue supporting survivors on their journey towards healing.
Go Jasmine! Weโ€™re behind you all the way! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ’›

๐Ÿ’œ Today is World Child Abuse & Neglect Awareness Day

Every child deserves to grow up feeling safe, valued and protected. For those who experience childhood sexual abuse, the impact can continue long after childhood has ended. Trauma can affect confidence, relationships, trust and emotional wellbeing - sometimes for many years.

But surviving childhood sexual abuse does not have to define someone's future.
At S.H.E. UK, we support survivors on their individual journeys towards healing through specialist counselling, peer support, education and our Lounges.

And sometimes, healing can mean finding something that trauma may have taken away: connection, friendship, laughter and hope.

๐Ÿ’œ This , we want to remember that awareness isn't only about recognising the harm caused by abuse.
๐Ÿ’œ It is also about recognising the possibility of healing.
