At Champion Crescent: Our Almshouse estate is having its roads resurfaced and a grounds team with machinery from VIA are doing a great job with aim to have it completed by the end of week - weather permitting. Great work, Great job. Thanks VIA East Midlands. 👏🤗👍

At Champion Crescent: Our scheduled Capital works, rolling programme is advancing with a number of bungalows, now having received new tiled roofs, chimney repointing and replacement guttering throughout with newly added insulation internally. ☑️

This is an ongoing major financial spend commitment, agreed via our Board of Trustees as they are all committed to providing and delivering quality Almshomes for our residents. ☑️

On Sunday 8 November 2026, the Remembrance Sunday commemoration will begin at Buttercross at 10am.

The parade will leave here at about 10.15am, heading along West Gate up Westfield Lane right onto Rosemary Street and left into the Civic Centre car park.

There will be a short comfort break, after which the Rev Caroline Phillips will lead the main Service of Remembrance at the Cenotaph. This will include a two minute silence and the laying of wreaths, followed by a salute. The event is expected to finish at around 11.30am.

At The Patchills: and our wonderful staff were hard at work Friday, moving furniture and preparing the right-side residents wing in preparation for floors being laid, this coming week. Watch this space to see this project coming through to fruition over coming weeks. 👏🤗👍

At The Patchills: Another days progress at our Community Centre Hub and now the new drainage and flooring is laid, our brilliant primary contractors, from Henman and Dunn Limited are erecting the pergola feature. 👍

The main frame has gone up today and the roof shall be added over coming days. ✅

It’s going to make a wonderful focal space in the inner court garden for our residents and wider community to relax & socialise. 🫶

We can’t wait to show you this completed project. 🤗

❤️ COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT | TOFFEE HUT

One of the things we love about Mansfield is the other fantastic independent businesses that make our town what it is- and this week, we’re shining a little spotlight on Toffee Hut! 🍰☕️

Founded by Mansfield local Rachel Richards, Toffee Hut began as an online business before opening its first high-street café in Mansfield in 2021. Since then, it’s grown into a much-loved local business, known for its handmade artisan toffee, delicious bakes, coffee and plenty of sweet treats. And we love the story behind it too. Rachel’s passion for baking came from spending time cooking with her grandma- with those childhood memories of homemade treats eventually inspiring the Toffee Hut we know today. ❤️

It’s businesses like this that give our town its character, and we’re always proud to celebrate the people who are creating something special right here in our local community.

In Partnership: Brunts Charity, works closely with The Children’s Bereavement Centre, by providing x2 office spaces at our Patchills Centre, Off Eakring Road. Mansfield to facilitate their staff, counselling services.

Our Brunts Charity, Chief Executive, Paul Williams who is additionally a volunteer and currently the Vice Chair of Mansfield Forward BID, is also a qualified Mountain Leader, and with its directors and staff from Mansfield Forward BID, are conducting a Charity trek of Snowdonia (Eryri) in North Wales on Saturday 31st October 2026 where we aim to raise as much funds for this worthwhile and essential service ‘The Children’s Bereavement Centre’, delivers within the Mansfield and District area.

At Brunts Chambers. No: 40 Leeming Street and new toilet facility being installed within the basement and shall be completed next Monday, when our new tenant takes over in preparation to set their new business up. We can’t wait to show you when it’s up and running. Watch this space. 👏😍👍

At The Patchills: progress within the inner patio, garden area and our amazing contractors are being meticulous in laying the floors which are now three quarters completed, having had to rebuild the manholes and install new aco drainage around the periphery. We can’t wait to show the completed project, which shall add another relaxing space for our residents and community to enjoy. 🫶
