It’s the final week of the 137 Challenge!

The 137 Challenge is a fundraising campaign organised by ActionAid UK to help end violence against women and girls.

The specific number 137 represents a harrowing global statistic: data shows that, on average, 137 women and girls are killed every single day by a partner, family member, or friend.

The challenge aims to turn this statistic into a call for awareness and action.

With this figure in mind, can we women spread some positivity in the comments?

Another fantastic Vlogging Session!

We had another great vlogging session this morning at Grassmoor Community Venues, and this time we were delighted to welcome our special guest, Joanne from She Thrives - Women’s Group.

These vlogs are a wonderful way to raise awareness of the many amazing services and support opportunities available across Derbyshire, and that can only be a positive thing. We absolutely love the work that She Thrives does and, like Grassmoor Community Venues, we are excited about the opportunities to work more closely together over the coming months.

We're also pleased to announce that for our November Vlog, we'll be joined by Val, Manager of Grassmoor Community Venues, to share more about the fantastic work taking place within the community.

The video will be uploaded to Facebook over the next few days, so keep an eye out!

A huge thank you to Jo, Anne, Val, Ren and Rhubarb Farm for helping to make this community conversation happen. Together, we're showcasing the incredible support available across Derbyshire and helping more people access the services they need.

Every day, 137 women and girls are killed by someone close to them. This is not just a statistic, it represents 137 lives lost, 137 families devastated, and 137 stories that will never be finished.

Violence against women and girls is a global crisis, and too many women continue to live in fear. ActionAid is working to support women and girls and fight for a safer, fairer world.

Our Joanne, Lauren and Phoebe have been smashing their daily reps for October's 137 Challenge. Well done and keep at it! 🤩
