Parliament is set to revisit hoarding disorder as a national issue this January!

Following the momentum of October’s Parliamentary debate on hoarding disorder, the UK Hoarding Partnership has been invited to host a further discussion for MPs this new year.

The session, taking place on 20th January 2026 at Portcullis House (1–3pm), will explore the lived experience of hoarding, the pressures on frontline services, and the benefits of clearer national guidance to support consistent, compassionate practice.

Hoarding affects an estimated 2.5–6% of the UK population - meaning thousands of people in every constituency may be living with a condition that often goes unrecognised or misunderstood.

Creating space for informed conversation helps ensure these realities are reflected in future policy decisions.
