This month, Hannah & Helen are taking on the Quarter-Million Step-tember Challenge, each walking 250,000 steps (around 120 miles!) over 30 days to raise vital funds for Acorn Village 🚶‍♀️👣

As Care Support Workers at Acorn Village, they see first-hand the incredible difference we make in supporting adults with learning disabilities - and, through the care and support they provide, they’re proud to play their own part in making that difference too 💫👏

Our first few free mobile phone and technology support sessions have been a fantastic success! 💫

Our next session is on Monday 14th September 💚

Need a little help with your phone, tablet or technology? Our Digital Support Volunteer, Jane, is here to help with friendly, one-to-one support tailored to your needs and delivered at a pace that’s right for you.

We have two morning appointments available if you’d prefer to book a specific time. Alternatively, you can simply drop in between 10:45am and 12noon for a free one-to-one session.

Today we celebrated our annual Summer Fun Day at Acorn Village – a highlight of the year that our residents, staff, and volunteers eagerly look forward to! 👏

A huge thank you to T W Logistics Limited, East Coast Appliances and Palmer & Partners 500 club for their generous donations, helping us make the day extra special and create wonderful memories for everyone involved ✨

We’d also like to extend our thanks to Manningtree Fire Station for bringing along their fire engine, which was a fantastic attraction and a real hit with our residents 🚒

Thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a fun, memorable, and successful event!
