The Walled Garden Cafe at Acorn Village is proud to be part of the trail at stop 17. Come along to explore our beautiful grounds, relax in the cafe, and enjoy everything we have to offer.

Here's a sneak peak of what's to come tomorrow at our Acorn Onsite Official Shop Re-opening!

Don't forget The Walled Garden Cafe, next door to our shop will also be open with a selection of fantastic cakes, iced frappes, coke and lemonade floats, a selection of freshly made sandwiches, salads and their famous homemade sausage rolls!

They are part of the Mysteries of Mistley event taking place tomorrow, so don't forget to collect your stamp!

We were delighted to host two fantastic volunteering groups yesterday 💚

The team from Allianz returned for their annual volunteering day, helping to tidy the gardens around several of our residential homes. They also made a generous monetary donation to Acorn Village. Thank you for your continued support!

We’d also like to thank Lorraine and her two friends, who kindly volunteered their time to help with painting projects around the village. We’re incredibly grateful for their hard work and enthusiasm 🙌

We’ve been blown away by the amount of support we’ve received during Learning Disability Week, and we’d like to thank everyone who has volunteered, donated, and got involved 👏

At Acorn Village, you may see some of our staff, volunteers, residents and tenants wearing The Hidden Disabilities Sunflower 💚

It's a discreet way for people to indicate that they have a disability, condition or illness that may not be immediately apparent and that they may need a little extra support, patience or understanding.

A little kindness and understanding can make a big difference 🌻

To celebrate the start of Learning Disability Week, a group of our residents and tenants joined a community project to help enhance the Wildflower Area at the Manningtree Park development by City & Country, located just a short walk from Acorn Village 🏠

Residents and tenants who attend our Day Service's gardening workshops have been working alongside Lee Connelly, Children's Gardening Coach, to support this exciting initiative 👩‍🌾👨‍

The project reflects the spirit of Learning Disability Week by promoting inclusion and recognising the importance of ensuring people with learning disabilities are seen, heard, and valued in their communities 💚✨

It was a wonderful afternoon spent contributing to a project that will benefit the local area, and we’re looking forward to seeing the wildflower space flourish and the finished result come to life 🌹🌷🌺
