Barnsley Neighbourhood Watch Liaison Group Established in 1982, the Barnsley Neighbourhood Watch Liaison Group allows residents to ensure a safe neighbourhood for all.

Hello and welcome to the Barnsley Neighbourhood Watch Liaison Group. We were formed in 1982 and had objectives of helping to reduce Crime & Antisocial Behaviour, and to make where we live a nicer and safer place to live. We made a difference 33 years ago and still are making a difference today, for a long time now NHW has been recognised as being one of the biggest and most successful ever crime r

eduction initiatives. Times have changed dramatically over the last 3 decades and Barnsley NHWL Group strives to change with them. We have working partnership agreements with South Yorkshire Police and other agencies. We have over the past 3 decade operated numerous projects and some of them we still operate today. Barnsley Bright Nights is here and the town centre is glowing!

At 5pm, the Barnsley Singers community choir will start performing alongside a beautiful projection display at the Glass Works Square. Don’t worry if you haven’t made it here yet as the performance will happen every 30 minutes until 8.30pm. 

You’ll be able to stroll through incredible light displays, explore interactive art, and soak up the atmosphere. It’s a great way to start the weekend, and there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
