Fight Like a Girl awards 🩷🥊

Today marked the end of term for the girls we’ve been working with at The Woodlands PRU, and we couldn’t be prouder of them.

Each girl received a personalised Fight Like a Girl award, celebrating her individual achievements, strengths and how they have fought like a girl throughout the programme!

Watching them grow, support each other, get stuck in and bring their own personalities to the room has been so special.

Some people get merch, some people get a tattoo…😅

Last month, to raise money for Fight Like a Girl, Ross decided to make his support permanent.

Rather than go for the obvious, the incredibly talented Mel at designed a unique abstract fighter, and at brought the vision to life.

Not only does the tattoo look amazing, Ross also raised over £1,000 for Fight Like a Girl, which was generously matched by in recognition of his commitment (and slight madness).

Every pound raised helps us continue delivering self-defence, confidence and empowerment sessions for women and girls who need them most.

Thank you, Ross. We’re honoured to have your support, and even more honoured to know Fight Like a Girl will always have a place with you.

Golden Girl by name, golden girl by nature ✨🥇

When Hanna started boxing at 10, she was shy and lacking confidence.

Seven years later, she’s a European Champion, a five-time National Champion, has represented England on the international stage, and has her sights firmly set on the Olympics.

🥈 4-time European Championship Silver Medallist
🥉 European Championship Bronze Medallist
🏆 5-time National Champion
🏆 5-time Box Cup Champion

Those achievements would be impressive at any age, but what makes them even more remarkable is that Hanna is only just getting started.

The Golden Girl with a medal collection to match, we have no doubt there is plenty more gold to come in the future.

We’ll be cheering you on every step of the way, Hanna 🩷

Marshall started boxing to lose weight. Now she’s chasing an Olympic dream. ✨

Now, at just 16 years old, she’s a national champion, has competed abroad, and has her sights firmly set on the Olympics 🥊

Her story is a reminder that you never know where one decision can take you. What started as a way to get fit has become a pathway to opportunities, experiences and achievements beyond what most people could imagine.

At Fight Like a Girl, we believe girls deserve the same opportunities, investment and belief as boys. Marshall is proving exactly why.

The sky really is the limit for this young woman, and we’ll be cheering her on every step of the way 🩷

Brains and boxing skills, Khadeejah has both ✅

As a dental student, Khadeejah spends plenty of time focused on her studies. But wanting to learn how to fight led her to boxing.

Boxing makes her feel like herself and pushes her to dig deep when things get tough.

Taking a fight the day before an exam takes a special kind of dedication, and Khadeejah is proof that boxing is for every girl, at every level, from every background.

We hope your exam went well, Khadeejah, and we wish you all the best with the rest of your studies and in the ring 🩷🥊

Last night, Nicole Evans got the win at the show we were lucky enough to attend!

Nicole talks about dreaming of one day reaching the Olympics and following in Savannah’s footsteps, inspiring more girls from the travelling community to step into boxing and believe in themselves.

That is exactly what Fight Like a Girl is about. Representation matters. When one girl dares to dream, others start believing they can too.
