What a beautiful celebration of Africa Day at Manchester Museum 🎶💃🏾

Through music, dance, song, talks and film screenings, the day brought people together to celebrate African culture, creativity and community.

Boundless Creativity session with Afrocats ✨📚

With our young creatives we explored handmade bookmaking as a great way to share stories, ideas, and personal expression. Everyone experimented with folding, drawing, writing, and design, turning simple materials into unique books filled with imagination and meaning 💛

It was a relaxed, hands-on space where ideas were able to grow freely, showing that creativity truly has no limits 🌟

A little throwback to one of our Creative Lab sessions 🩺

We explored health vocabulary, from learning the names of different body parts to describing different types of pain. We also practiced real-life conversations, building confidence for doctor’s appointments and everyday situations 💬

Moments like these show how small steps can build real confidence 💛

Our time at the Whitworth 🐟

A brilliant Under the Sea with Yuki Kihara session 🐠 delivered by The Whitworth in partnership with us!

The Garden Studio was transformed into a magical sea scene, where participants created shimmering fish to add to a giant ocean installation. In Gallery 3, drums were played, stories were created, and the space was filled with noise, energy, and joy 🎶

Upstairs on the Mezzanine Level, families dressed up as fish, explored a sea-themed play space, and continued creating in the craft area 🌊

All activities were inspired by the Yuki Kihara exhibition in the Project Space, bringing ocean life and island culture to life through creativity, imagination, and play ✨

A huge thank you to The Whitworth () for hosting such a joyful and creative experience for all ages 💛

A look back at Winter Wheels Roll On ❄️🚲

At MaxTrax, cycling brought people together across ages and backgrounds, with a shared meal creating space for connection and collaboration 💛 It was inspiring to see participants build confidence and learn new skills on two wheels 🌍

We’re proud to have delivered an event that brought people together, supported skill-building, and encouraged joyful movement, whatever the weather ✨

Climate Sisters Programme ✨🌍

Join us every Wednesday (11am–1pm) for a 10-week journey starting 6th May 💚

In collaboration with , this programme creates a supportive space for women to explore climate change, the environment, and its impacts through creative expression 🎨🌱

Expect meaningful discussions, creative workshops, a group trip, and the chance to apply for Phase 2.

This is about sharing lived experiences, building community, and imagining solutions together 🌿
