As we prepare for our upcoming Family Fun Day, we’re kindly asking for donations of new or good quality teddies and unopened bottles for our tombola.

All proceeds will go towards our Resident Fund for future activities, entertainment and special experiences for the people who live at De Brook Lodge.

If you’d like to donate, please drop your items off at our reception. Every donation, big or small, is greatly appreciated.

Bowfell House Trafford Community Volunteering

Phew ! What a scorcher, but once we got going on the Trishaw we had a lovely breeze to feel wafting over us. Jo was the main coordinator from Bowfell today and we had 5 rides with: Mary, Rita, Carl, Dorothy and Sharon.

We Need You! Become a Trishaw Pilot with Cycling Without Age Trafford

We have amazing partnerships with local care homes whose residents are desperate to get outside this summer, feel the wind in their hair and explore the parks and green spaces of Trafford. The problem? We don’t have enough pilots to take them.

A trishaw is like a rickshaw with three wheels. You ride, they enjoy the journey. It’s that simple and that joyful.

What we’re asking for:
A couple of hours, once or twice a month. That’s it. Full training and insurance provided.

You’d be a great fit if you:
�✅ Live in Stretford, Urmston or the wider Trafford area (our trishaw is based at Urmston Library)�✅ Are a confident, comfortable cyclist�✅ Enjoy a good conversation
✅ Can commit to around 6-8 rides a year
