Did you go on Holiday during Wakes week. Kids today would not believe that entire places would close down for a week and everyone go on holiday at the same time and in many cases to the same place! You would still see your neighbours and workmates even on holiday. Where did your area go on Wakes week?

We are amazed that up to today 17 August our Morning of Memories has now seen 801 people around the venues and Manchester and Cheshire we’ve taken it too. Together with our memorabilia and fun bits we’ve also passed on information of the Gas Priority Services register with our friends at Cadent gas and made people aware of the The Herbert Protocol and how the Lions message in a bottle works and distributed the bottles to those who wanted them thanks to Cadent and Trafford Veterans CIC. We already have more dates to do in the remainder of this year and welcome contact from venues who would like to see us. We thank also ForHousing Salford and Salford CVS and Volunteer Centre Salford for their support and advice.

Yesterday thanks to the huge group at Worsley Road United Reformed Church where we presented our Memories event. A lovely group enjoyed an afternoon of reminiscing. As well at the fun we told them of the The Herbert Protocol and how it’s been made simple by Lions message in a bottle. We also spoke about the Gas Priority Service Register and thanks to Cadent Gas & Trafford Veterans CIC we provided that information and the bottles for free. Nicola and Darren the local PCSOs Salford Police - GMP chatted about concerns and we were also joined by Michael Wheeler for Worsley & Eccles the local councillor too.
