🔥 STANDING TOGETHER – PART II 🔥
Last weekend, ÓÐR HIRD once again opened the gates to tje community, and called our friends, families and fellow warriors to stand together.
A day of sharing the old ways, our traditions, skills and the passions that bind our community together. ⚔️🔥
We were honoured to be joined by the mighty Jo 💪 — true friends and fierce warriors. We are deeply grateful for your strength, support and fellowship. 🛡️🔥
Throughout the day there were crafts, cooking, battles and games for the young shield-bearers — but above all, there was something worth more than silver: laughter, friendship and good company.
From the forge to the feast, from the craftsman’s hands to the clash of shields, we shared what we love and welcomed all who came through our gates.
To every warrior, craftsman, family and friend who stood with us — thank you! Your presence made this gathering one to remember. 🍻🔥
May the bonds we forged grow stronger, and may we meet again beneath the banner of friendship.

ÓÐR HIRD rode forth to gather with Traders and Warriors at Moorforge Viking Settlement this past weekend. Beneath the eyes of the Gods we shared thunderous laughter, crossed steel in fierce and honourable battles, and feasted as true kin around the fires 🔥 Old bonds were strengthened and new oaths forged in the flames of fellowship.
Great gratitude to our hosts, David Watson and Susan Mcwilliams, for opening their halls and giving us memories worthy of the skalds' songs. Praise also to Ash Ivaldison and Nordan Jorfors, who called warriors together and forged a gathering worthy of Valhǫll itself.
To all shield brothers, shield sisters, traders and warriors who stood with us in honourable combat and shared drink, stories and brotherhood — you have our respect.
Raise your horns high and let your voices be heard across the lands...

The fires of HREIĐUR Festival have burned bright, and once again we raise our horns in gratitude to Duncarron Medieval Village for hosting this great gathering of warriors, craftsmen, and friends. 🔥

Duncarron is more than a village of timber and stone—it is a place woven into our story, a hall of memories, laughter, battle, and brotherhood. For that, we give our thanks.

We also raise our voices in honour of our Brothers and Sisters of Druzno Mercenaries, Drengskapr, and the newest part of our Eastern Family, Bjorn Drenger. Without your strength, spirit, and fellowship, this gathering would not have been the same. Sława to you all! 🔥

Axes rang upon shields as warriors tested their courage in honourable battle. 🪓The mead and ale flowed freely as friends gathered around the feast tables. 🍻Old bonds were reforged, and new ones forged in the fire of kinship. 🔥

May the tales of this gathering be carried far and wide, and may we meet again beneath the banners, around the fires, and upon the field of battle.

Until then—strength, honour, and glory to all who stood with us.

As our warriors and craftsmen arrived in Wales for Drengskapr’s first official event Brynskaldr 26, we were met with a warm welcome from our brothers and sisters.
The battles were fierce, the feasts plentiful, the crafts thriving—and the weather did its best to test us.
We’re truly grateful for the hospitality and proud to stand among such a strong and united community. You have our respect and our loyalty.
P.S. Unfortunately, you didn’t win the title for the wettest event… better luck next year 😉

This weekend we journeyed to Ipswich, where mighty warbands gathered to train and prepare for the season ahead — a time of raids, craft, and great feasting.
Steel rang, fires burned, and skills were honed as warriors and craftsmen stood side by side, readying themselves for the days to come.

What an incredible day it was 🔥
“Standing Together” by ÓÐR HIRD was a true success — and it was all thanks to you. The local community showed up in amazing numbers, and we were honoured to welcome guests who travelled from afar to be part of it.
It was a real pleasure to host such an event… and for those who missed it — don’t worry, there will be another 👀
Special thanks go to: • Manchester City Council for giving us the opportunity to bring this vision to life
• Druzno Mercenaries and Nordan Jorfors for their presence, energy, and swords
• Crumpsall and Cheetham Model Allotments for their constant support — you have our swords ⚔️
• GMP, who joined us, helped keep everyone safe, and in return received some proper Viking sword and shield training… so be warned — North Manchester Police now train like Vikings 😉
And last, but never least — the Community ❤️
We would not exist without you. Seeing so many of you there meant everything to us. We feel truly blessed.
