As our warriors and craftsmen arrived in Wales for Drengskapr’s first official event Brynskaldr 26, we were met with a warm welcome from our brothers and sisters.
The battles were fierce, the feasts plentiful, the crafts thriving—and the weather did its best to test us.
We’re truly grateful for the hospitality and proud to stand among such a strong and united community. You have our respect and our loyalty.
P.S. Unfortunately, you didn’t win the title for the wettest event… better luck next year 😉

This weekend we journeyed to Ipswich, where mighty warbands gathered to train and prepare for the season ahead — a time of raids, craft, and great feasting.
Steel rang, fires burned, and skills were honed as warriors and craftsmen stood side by side, readying themselves for the days to come.
Here are glimpses from this gathering of strength and skill.

What an incredible day it was 🔥
“Standing Together” by ÓÐR HIRD was a true success — and it was all thanks to you. The local community showed up in amazing numbers, and we were honoured to welcome guests who travelled from afar to be part of it.
It was a real pleasure to host such an event… and for those who missed it — don’t worry, there will be another 👀
Special thanks go to: • Manchester City Council for giving us the opportunity to bring this vision to life
• Druzno Mercenaries and Nordan Jorfors for their presence, energy, and swords
• Crumpsall and Cheetham Model Allotments for their constant support — you have our swords ⚔️
• GMP, who joined us, helped keep everyone safe, and in return received some proper Viking sword and shield training… so be warned — North Manchester Police now train like Vikings 😉
And last, but never least — the Community ❤️
We would not exist without you. Seeing so many of you there meant everything to us. We feel truly blessed.

ÓÐR HIRD Educational Charity celebrated World Book Day together with Lower Kersal Library.

During the event, Sunniva and Soldis led a workshop on tablet and heddle weaving 🔥 Participants created some truly beautiful woven bookmarks and had the chance to learn traditional techniques used for centuries.

Þórvaldr also surprised everyone with some fantastic storytelling, bringing history and legend to life 🔥 Meanwhile, Gniewomir kept a watchful eye over everything — and looked good doing it, as always 😉

A special thank you to Lower Kersal Library for providing the space for the event.
Many thanks to Sunniva and Soldis for teaching the weaving techniques and organising the workshop, Þórvaldr for the great story, and Paweł for capturing the day in photos.
