What a great day, once again Mums Cake Day in Chorlton has been a huge success. Thanks to Mum (Anne Doig ) for organising the day, Derek for the fab plants, Vicky for the amazing cakes, Sheila, Steph and Isabel for working so hard and to me, chief cake taster.... the result of all that effort was a fabulous £1011.36p of life saving funds raised. And of course, thank you to the lovely people who stopped by today, we cannot do this without your generosity.

This week (beginning 1st June) is Volunteer Week. This is an annual, UK wide campaign to thank all volunteers and celebrate the work they do.

The committee of the City of Manchester fundraising branch of the RNLI wish to take this moment to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who helps us with collections and events during the year.

We as a branch cannot raise the vital funds needed to save lives at sea and keep our amazing volunteer crews safe without your commitment and hard work so to every one of you that has helped us over the years we say a heartfelt thank you to you all, you have made a difference and you have helped save lives.

No pic with this one, no frills, just a genuine show of appreciation for your kindness, hard work and company.

Thanks also goes out to every single volunteer in the RNLI, we are proud to do our bit so you can do yours.
