We are looking for home based Event Organisers to run monthly baby & children’s markets in your own local community. Be your own boss, working hours that fit around your family commitments; part-time, full-time, daytime or evenings the choice is yours! WHAT ARE CHEEKI MONKEYS BIG BABY & CHILDREN’S MARKETS? Cheeki Monkeys BIG Baby & Children’s Markets are indoor community events for the whole famil

y, where mums & dads can buy or sell quality, gently used babies' and children’s toys, clothes and equipment. These pop-up nearly new baby sales are becoming increasingly popular; they are very much like car boot sales but held indoors and aimed at the family market, regularly attracting hundreds of shoppers. WHAT IS INVOLVED IN RUNNING A MARKET? As an Event Organiser, your task will be to:

1. Locate and book local venues to hold your markets

2. Promote and market your events mostly online via non-paid channels to attract stallholders and shoppers.

3. Manage your events on market days

WHAT IS REQUIRED TO BE A SUCCESSFUL EVENT ORGANISER? NO EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED as we will guide you through every step of the process of setting up your own Cheeki Monkeys BIG Baby & Children’s Markets, from locating venues to how to advertise the events with really clear step by step instructions. We will help you to reproduce our thriving and lucrative events and develop your own Cheeki Monkeys BIG Baby & Children’s Markets. Most of your work will involve marketing your events online (using Facebook etc.), therefore access to the internet is a MUST HAVE! Most of your enquiries from both stallholders and shoppers will be via email or social media messages, although you will also need to have the ability to take telephone enquiries, this can be via a landline or mobile. Having good computer skills and being confident using the internet will be an advantage, although we will provide you with detailed instructions on what and where to advertise. Age and gender are unimportant and you do not need to have a driving licence or any qualifications. Being helpful, friendly and welcoming are the most essential attributes required to succeed as an Event Organiser. FLEXIBLE HOURS – FULL TIME INCOME
The great thing about being an Event Organiser is that your hours of work are not monitored. The amount of time you put into promoting your events is at your discretion. Therefore, your income will depend on how many markets you run per year and how much effort you put into promoting them. In addition to our Marketing and Operations Manual, all stall bookings are made through our website and you will be provided with your own page on the website, your events will also appear on our Events Calendar and the Market Locations Map.

Furthermore you will be given access to our secret Event Organisers Forum which contains all the marketing resources you will require to organise your markets successfully. Including templates for Cheeki Monkeys branding including our logo/company mascot, print ready banners, flyers, posters, a large choice of social media images to utilise, images from previous events, business cards and all the wording you will need for your online promotions as well as template emails to send to your stallholders etc.

For instance a single sided 5ft x 2ft banner is just £10 including vat and delivery. Flyers can be ordered for as little as £5.68 per 1,000. Our Event Organisers also have access to reduced price T-Shirt/garment printing, discounted embroidery and more great deals!

Cheeki Monkeys have also negotiated a deal on behalf of all our Event Organisers with a leading online accountant.

They offer an affordable, pay monthly accountancy service at just £10 per month.
For this monthly fee our accountant will:
• Register you as self employed with HMRC
• Provide FREE bookkeeping software or easy to use spreadsheet
• Prepare your annual accounts
• Calculate your annual income tax calculation
• Prepare your Income Tax Return and submit to HMRC
• Provide ongoing email and telephone support for accounting and tax questions from your own dedicated accountant
• Deal with HMRC on your behalf acting as your authorised agent
