It's National Read a Book Day! Who knew?!

🥳The day is all about celebrating taking time out of life to have a read! Well we are all for that, so this is what I am reading today.

📖 Fun Home by alisonbechdel. A memoir told via a graphic novel. I am finding the format really interesting and very easy to engage with. Bonus that this was donated to the little libraries so will be going back into Burnage Little Free Library when I am done.

Had a long overdue tidy up before hopefully doing a bit of work on the library today, and found a signed copy of Meet Me at the Surface by local author . Now I know Jodie has dropped a different book at the little library and the same as this one in a Heaton Mersey little library recently so maybe this one had found its way to us!

Sounds like a great read so come and get it whilst its available!

Hopefully I will be able to give the little library a spruce up today so if you pop by and want a chat about books, or setting up your own little library do come and see me I will be round and about all day.

🖌Made the most of some ok weather yesterday to start painting the new wood for the little library.

🔨You may have noticed that the paint has peeled on the library and I thought this was a good chance to add some marine ply to the existing cupboard to make it nice and waterproof.

Of course looking at the weather it's grim for the nezt 2 weeks! ☔️☔️ so it may take a while to get it sorted, but at some point soon the library will be out of action whilst I give it a spruce up.

Let's hope for some 🌞 very soon.

The library has been nice and busy this Easter so I have had a fill up today. It didn't need a tidy though, as everyone has been great at keeping it tidy and shutting the doors recently, so thank you.

Just a quick reminder that we dont accept text books, I noticed a fair few had been popped into the box and they were also no in great condition. As text books go out of date so qu**ky I just put them in the recycling so save me a job and don't drop those off please.
