Riverbank Community Garden

Riverbank Community Garden Riverbank Community Garden is a nonprofit community project based in Chorlton, Manchester. Find us behind the Co-op on Barlow Moor Road/Hardy Lane.

We usually go to the Riverbank Community Garden every Sunday from 2pm. New volunteers please get in touch first with either Jon or Matt -

Jon Ross: 07708622368
Matt Favier: 07706565660

Southway Housing Trust has donated a patch of wasteland to be transformed into a community garden. Last year we ran a series of ‘grow your own’ drop in sessions and workshops, growing and harvesting a variety of fruit and vegetables and enjoying workshops on keeping chickens, maintaining fruit trees, making scarecrows, healthy eating etc. Have a look at our photos.

Annual apple pressing extravangaza at Riverbank today in the autumnal sunshine. Lovely to see all the kids enjoying it so much and making use of the orchard.

Hope everyone had a lovely day out around Chorlton today! Let us know if you stopped in at Riverbank :)
